Hello, I am entering the VFW Patriot's Pen Essay Contest with my school. The topic for this year is "What Would I Tell America's Founding Fathers"
I want to do something creative. I have an idea in my head of what I want to do, but for the first paragraph I am having trouble expressing my words.
My plan is to start off saying something along the lines of:
If you could talk to the Founding Fathers, what would you say? Would you talk about _________? Or would you talk about __________? There are many things you can talk about, but the real question is, would they believe you?
Then I want to start going on with "What they believe me if I told them _______?" for each section saying different things. I'm not sure how I will end it, but I will get to that later.
I don't think the beginning that I currently have is strong enough especially the last sentence, but I just needed to get something out there for help.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what would you tell the American Founding Fathers? i have a good intro so far
Hello. i have a 300-400 word essay due Monday on (What would you tell American Founding Fathers) if you have any suggestions on what i could write please fell free to let me know i have a good intro so far but i need so suggestions on what else to write!
you could write about how great they are for standing up against the British, and thank them for what they did.
I think we should make a list of all the things they ride to fix for this country and how it is adjusted in today's world and the past.
I would talk about
-"all men are created equal."
- the economic style in the past and the way it helped us
and just continue from there...
good luck
i agree with this person. starting from a list is always an easy way to jot ideas down.
