"How-To" Essays... How to start them (for example: making peanut butter cookies)

ok, so i am having a very hard time trying to start this paper...i have to write a how to paper on a topic, an i was gna do something easy like making peanut butter cookies. Although im sitting here wondering if there is a better topic i can chose...and my main problem i have is starting the paper...i always have trouble getting started, but once im started i can usually get it done easily. Can i please get some help?

What do you like to do the most? What is it that makes you the happiest? Write about that, whatever it is, as long as it is a "how to" essay. It should be easy. All you really need to do to start the essay is to write a simple outline that explains how to do something -- and then use that outline to construct your essay. Try something! Anything! And then post it on the forum for us to critique for you. You might be surprised that you know more about it than you initially think! Have some faith in yourself.

-->choose you favorite topic
--> make out line of topic
-->think basic about topic n shoot it in introduction
further part you know because u said...
i always have trouble getting started, but once im started i can usually get it done easily
