MSc in Entrepreneurship study plan
Nowadays, there are more and more people who have a great idea then want to set up their own business, but they are usually failed because lack of professional methods.
In my country, Taiwan, as we all know, Taiwan has similar culture with China, and it is located very close to China, where is the world's biggest market. Thus, over the past ten years, China is fulled of Taiwanese entrepreneurs who wants to take a chance on. However, in my opinion, it is really difficult to set up a healthy profit firm without particular knowledge. Therefore, it is necessary to equip myself with this professional master program of MSc in Entrepreneurship.
From 2004 to 2008, I was studied Tourism at XXXX University in Taiwan. When I studied in college I learnt not only the academic courses but intern experiences in hospitality field almost four years, such as, travel agency, hotel and restaurants; The last year in college, students have to write the graduate dissertation with teamwork and give a presentation to all the professor. My dissertation's topic is " A Study Of Domestic Tourism Resources- Choice And Preference Of College Students In Taipei. " .
By doing so, I was more understanding the process of writing the dissertation. On the other hand, I did well at all my internship and made lots of friend from the different fields. And the internship made me more understood that the academic theory which is taught in class should combine with practice.
In fact, I avoided some theoretic mistakes when I operated my own restaurant. For instance, in 2009, when I operated the restaurant I was finding out it was wrong to calculate the cost of food by using the methods in the textbooks, because each kind of situation has it's different method which is more suitable; and the most important is that those methods will change by the time.
During college, I was glad to find my aspiration is to run business in the field of hospitality. Thus, after I graduated from college, I tried to find an opportunity to run my own business. In 2008, because the financial storm, there was tough time for the whole world, but I still set up my first company " Magic beans of Jack CO. " to submitted a bid for the contract to operate the staff restaurant in the Chinatrust Financial Holding Co.
As a consequence, in 2009, I was concentrated on manging the restaurant and controlling the cost of the restaurant. During this period, I figured out if I do not have the professional knowledge to find a new adventure in this field I would not expend my business to the other country. As a result, in the end of 2009, I decided to close my restaurant and prepared to go abroad to the UK, because in the UK I will not only study the professional knowledge and skill but learn the difference culture between the west and the east.
