My long-term goal is to pursue a career as a CPA in a public accounting firm. For this reason, I am seeking a professional accounting program that will further my professional objectives and fulfill my educational requirements. I sincerely believe that my two years working experience combined with five companies has joined with my education in business administration and my strong desire for professional growth in my interested area, which will enable me to successfully fulfill the Masters of Accounting program.
During the four years of my undergraduate study, I have taken numerous courses in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Economics and Marketing. These courses has exposed me to the various aspects of the accounting field and prepared me to achieve my career objectives. I enjoy working with numbers, hence, anything to do with numbers such as accounting, and bookkeeping have been my favorite subjects. The other key influence has been practical work experience in a related field.
In August 2007, I started my first job as a Cashier and Customer Service Representative at Ralphs Grocery Company. My activities within this position included processing transactions efficiently, providing outstanding service and friendly relationships with customers, maintained registers and all books related to cash transactions kept up to date. Through this job, I have applied parts of accounting theory which has helped me broaden my horizon and give me courage to continue pursuing my further education in accounting field.
After three years of working as a cashier and customer representative, I was employed by Graphic Research Company as an Accountant. This job helped me learn new software of accounting like QuickBooks. In this position, my duties were accounts receivable, accounts payable, office's budget, generating checks, bookkeeping, and communications with customers and suppliers. I had to maintain with monthly bank reconciliations which included check cancellations, journal entries, and account research. I am able to understand the procedures, instructions, and being able to think critically and logically. These are the key elements in moving towards a team concept in this challenging world. This position has given me an essential foundation in bookkeeping and has encouraged me to try to develop further skills.
Furthermore, the Business courses that I attended during my studies in Business Administration have given me the great opportunity to utilize and put into perspective knowledge that I had previously acquired through personal experience. This made me realize the effect that a university education would have upon me both as a person and a future professional. Hence, if I got the opportunity to continue my studies along these ranks, I would be more than willing to devote myself to the hard work towards my Master's degree. With all the skills and qualities that I have gained from my education and experience, I am certain that this course is the accurate choice towards my future career.

however, it would be good for you to mention why you want to pursue a career as a CPA in a public accounting firm, be it CPA as your dream job and what made you sure that CPA is what you wanted, any instances or occurrence which made you feel that way ? or perhaps is that anyone in CPA that you look up to ? and how he has inspired you ? you might to include these to better portray your personality and character. share about your goals and dreams.
