Why did you choose your proposed course and institution*?
I choose the Global business as the basis of my needs to expand my knowledge and ability in business skills, how to deal with clients and colleagues worldwide.
Since November 2017, I was trusted as Multinational team leader by Chubb Indonesia and responsible directly as country representative to our Head OF APAC in Singapore. The massive volume of difference business conditions which I face on the daily basis triggers me to seek more knowledge on Global business , especially on the business terms.
How will the proposed study contribute to your career*?
1. Multinational main responsibilities involving lots of corresponding with other countries, my study in international relations will increase my ability not only in terms of speaking but also in terms of persuade and negotiate with them. Since Indonesian is a regulated country, the terms and and conditions are way different with other countries, which is the biggest challenge we have face in this job. Hence, with more knowledge in international relation, it could help me to let them understand local terms in international ways, so all the business could be aligned smoothly between locally and worldwide.
2. Also, as a young woman, I could prove to the company that I could lead and share my knowledge to the team. Not only on our daily job but I could share the international business practice manners. Hence, they are not just working by following the SOP but also could work based on the same depth in knowledge with other countries.
3. The more knowledge in Global business, I could help the company in increasing the business. Because in multinational I also responsible for accounts and client from all other country especially in APAC, by knowing what clients I deal with and what they need it could help to offer them the coverage that they might need in their country, with the extra knowledge on international relation & business I will be able to persuade them on cross-selling and to agree on the certain business.
4. As a country representative, for me, it is important to have deep knowledge on the Global business. It is also will increase the regional office trust that Indonesia office could be counted as a supportive servicing country with the capability to close the business deal within standard deadlines. Because the key in this job is negotiating and communicating the difference between country before the business is closed and meet the deal within certain time frame define by regional office.Holt Educational Consultant - / 14,801
