'matching the high standards' - A statement of purpose

Hi everybody, This is my statement of purpose, please help me to improve it :

From my beginning I love science and math and I scored high marks in different courses of those subjects. When I was at university I did my first training in oil industry through the ministry of petroleum. I have been in Paloug field in South Sudan for fifty days. I have been going through most of field operations drilling, casing, cementing and many other operations. I took advantage very much because I know more about reservoir characteristics in real cases.

I have been doing my second training at Sudapet National Company from the 1st of February 2012 to present. Through my training period I actually could recognize my orientation in oil industry. I really found myself in reservoir engineering despite that my training covered most of petroleum engineering sections starting from geology, geophysics, drilling, reservoir and production.

Getting admission into the MS in Petroleum Engineering program at XXXXX means to me that I might get the chance to work with and learn from professional professors whose research in Reservoir Engineering and I would like to take advantage of the possibilities available at this university for the development and increasing my knowledge in reservoir engineering.

I strongly believe that I can match the high standards of your university and contribute fruitfully to the research endeavors. I would be grateful to you, if I am accorded the opportunity to pursue my higher studies.
