I have done my under graduation from NIT Jamshedpur in B.Tech Electrical engineering. I have been working in Siemens Limited,a German conglomerate, from the last 5 years in the project management department.I have the experience of handling various teams,in office as well as at project sites.I am very flexible and adjusting in terms of working at different locations and with people of different grades such as white collared people,international vendors and workers,at project sites.I have worked at project sites,which not only had extreme work pressure but also extreme climatic conditions and this has not only boosted my confidence as a leader but also made me a action oriented person. After getting a handful experience in Siemens I see myself working as an operation and strategy manager.I have been handling the revenue,collection part of my project as well as the planning,forecasting and have also ventured in the procurement part of my project. Problem solving has become a part of my daily life because every other day a problem arises at my project site and I need to be at the forefront to solve since it is my primary responsibility to provide my customer a pleasant experience.All these experiences have equipped me to manage a project and this experience is going to help me in future when I join another organization in a upgraded position.In the long term I see myself expanding my role to a global level where I can lead a multi cultural team,taking strategic decisions that would impact the organization in a positive way and ensure maximum efficiency within the organization.This role would involve collaboration with several departments over several country to achieve one common goal for the organization.To work as a operation and strategy manager one needs to have a diversified profile which should include experience of planning,execution,liasioner between various departments,clear understanding of project's scope,opportunities,risks,budgeting,resoursce management,etc.My current job profile has provided me a plethora of responsibilities and I am also working on various aspects of my job to hone my capabilities such as the budgeting and costing part.I am preparing to become a certified project manager in my company which would further impart me skills to handle my project in a more efficient manner.Further MBA at Cambridge will provide me a platform to increase my cross culture experience and also provide me with hands on experience to work with other organizations to fine tune my managerial capabilities.Doing MBA from a place where you meet so many people from so many countries with experience in different domains will impart a different perspective to an individual.Along with the theoretical knowledge, experiential learning is also necessary to grasp the essence of any subject matter. I am very much interested in the consulting project which will add another set of skill, which is very much necessary to excel in my role of operation and strategy manager.One needs to be jack of all trades if one intends to flourish at global level.Further studying in United kingdom will give me a chance to closely follow my passion and dream, that is to watch Manchester United play in their home ground.
