The CARE Summer Bridge Program is an alternative admission program for first-generation college students, and students who are disadvantaged by economic, cultural or educational circumstances. Life would be meaningless without struggle. As a person gets older, struggle becomes a known procedure. The path to achieve a goal; the sacrifice of a person, is a part of society, some for the good, and some never get to see a light of hope. But, why do we struggle? The fact of the matter is that, not all of us were born with a silver spoon in our mouth, so we must get acquainted to this part of life. We later realize this is the "process" to achieve success.
Watching the daily tabulations of a hardworking mother work nights and barely spending time with a father, who works 16 hour days, is difficult for a daughter to see. Coming home from school, sitting down eating dinner alone and helping a younger sister complete homework is the norm for me. My parents believed that a college education is the only way by which they could assure us of a better future from what we have been offered in life. Although they got limited schooling and weren't given the opportunities I were given, they have strong faith in what college education could do to a person's life. According to them, college education is a very valuable aspect of life that leads a person to perform better and be able to face the challenges in life. I have witness my mother going to college during the day and working nights in the hospital, while trying to raise three girls at home, insuring they are all well fed and ready for school the next day. From watching my mother make sacrifices to provide for her children has taught me to be hardworking. I wish through a college education I am able to make my parents proud and give them a better standard of living upon graduating from FSU.
Everybody in sometime in life has experienced failures, but the worst thing that they possibly could have done is to have let these obstacles stop them. Through the Care Summer Bridge Program, I believe I will be given the tools to succeed. I will have no fear of failing, but I will have the drive and motivation to succeed. Participating in the Care Summer Bridge Program, the program will provide me with the emotional support that I need to get through each day. I will meet people, with similar walks of life and we will be able to help each other adjust to the change of college life.

I'm not at all sure what you mean by this. That may not matter. I think that, perhaps, your first paragraph is not needed. Jump in with what you now use as your second paragraph and save the musings about struggle for the conclusion.

The struggles I encountered as a student was I was once a victim to bullying. I can still recall the names in which other students would call me. Each attack leaving me defenseless and powerless then the last. During this time my grades plummeted and I lost the desire to learn and go to school. It wasn't until a teacher reached out and pulled me up and out of the slumps in which I felt subjected too. She gave me hope and courage. She motivated me to do better as a student. Being part of the CARE Summer Bridge Program I know I will meet teachers and staff that will assist and insure that I do well at FSU. This is the program that I need that will set me up for success, not only throughout college, but throughout life. The everlasting bonds and memories that I will create with other people will shape my life and mold me into a Seminole.

I expanded more on the "struggle" paragraph. I Explained my personal struggles in school. I feel in my 2nd paragraph its a bit weak compared to my other two. Please feel free to change around or add sentences, to add strength to the paragraph.
