Graduate / 'interests in chemical sciences' - SOP [2]

I do not think it is wise enough to write a one size fit all essay.(If you love that university, do some research)

I think this essay is a well crafted one, but it may not impress AO a lot.

First, they may know what Chemical engineering is but you mention too much, cut a little

Delete some cliche like "broaden my perspective of the real world" will help.

Undergraduate / Common App."Lost at the modern world" [NEW]

common app prompt: a personal or rigional concern.
Lost at the modern world
I find out the world is trying hard to exclude me especially when my classmate asked for my Facebook account recently. "I don't get one." He gaped at me as if he was facing an E.T. then said: "You must be kidding." That night I registered an account attempting to experience that magical website. There wasn't anything special besides a picture of ghost scared me out, the news that a girl I loved secretly for years got a boy. And of course I shut the computer off then without hesitation.

Lately a friend of my dad sent me a Kindle which, in his words, could bring me the feel of reading a real book. Words failed me when I was trying to express the annoying feeling that the sophiscated EBook left me. Finally I found out it was the disappearance of turning-pages sound when I was going to show my mom I was not handling a play station but a book. I turned this high-tech product over and over; proofread the instructor again and again only to find out no solution. I had to concede and continued my reading. "Hahahahahhaha" Then I picked up my pen and was about to draw "=D" on the margin. I should have foreseen how the machine would react: it made a disturbing groan and showed a scar to protest. Frowned at it, I threw it away and picked up the paper-made books, which confused the fashion classmates. But the machine is trying to replace the real book when I searched every bookstore to find E.B. White's essays with no results. However I found it on the website so I had to pick it up reluctantly.

However I believe I can not be labeled "conservative". On the contrary, I love the discovery of the particle traveling faster than light which could turn the physics world into a mess. I could save the world in time then be awarded the Nobel Prize in 2040. When I told my mom about my dream, she simply said: "Where is fund?" I decided if I was the head of the research institution, I would for sure cut off the budget for scientists or engineers who are eager to show off their talents by advancing that technology and who make an excuse that doing so is good for the human.

I can not imagine how I can take the test on computer either but I took an English test recently during which I felt embarrassed to search for the letter "N" when everyone around was typing quickly. However I felt happy later to imagine that in the future test I only need a headphone. The headphone spoke out the questions and I could only take drafts in my mind then spoke out the answers. Then the teachers would not need to stare at the screen for which fact I was strongly sympathy. The environment would not be harmed and my mind could even be trained! Wonderful!

Please do not bury something used in the past so that I can get a sense of belonging. My dad, who only uses cassettes to listen to Elvis, shares the same feeling with me. In his words, music recorded in the cassettes is MUSIC. That's why once I handed him a walkman, he pondered it for a while then put it aside and turned back to his recorder.
