Undergraduate / "I love the challenge" My International Baccalaureate Entrance Essay [2]
To get into the IB Program we need to write an essay on what we know about IB, and how we think it'll affect our high school experience.
(It doesn't give any specific word count, just says about 1 page.)
I hope to enter the IB Program with curiosity, and leave it with an enhanced understanding of the core academic classes that provide the foundation for our world's management. I understand the work can be plenty at times, and I expect that. However I believe I am capable of taking on the responsibility. Still I'm grateful for IB Prep to help brace me for this commitment.
Everything I've heard of IB, has suggested obstacles. This actually makes me even more keen towards being part of it. I love the challenge, and am eager to fulfill it, as no challenge comes without benefits. It would be very beneficial to my high school experience. For example, the program is quite obviously fast-paced, and I always do my best in a fast environment. However I still make sure that I understand everything I learn, since analyzing the past is such a massive part of critical thinking. IB could also help me get to my dream college, Yale.
I really look forward to the extended essay in senior year. I love the fact that we can write it on anything we want. I find it easier, and more engaging when I write about subjects within my interests. Even though it's still a long way to go, I can't wait to start writing it.
My favorite subject is science, and when I grow up, I hope to become a Biology major. IB, being such a rigorous program, would aid me in achieving that goal. Not only would it expand my knowledge of the subject, but it would also help me in fully understanding the career options that branch from it, which would assist me in deciding on further studies, such as medical school.
I like being prepared for things. Next year I plan on joining the Performing Arts Academy, and the badminton team, so preparation will help me manage my time efficiently. IB will definitely take some free time away from me, and really put my time management to the test. However I will keep persevering and follow through. Once again, I am very grateful towards IB Prep for helping students like myself transition into IB.
Although the IB Program will undoubtedly change the course of my high school experience, I am very excited to have a chance at being a part of it. It has so many great things to offer, and I am enthralled to begin.
