Letters / Software Company - Recommendation letter for a Master's program in Marketing in a Korean University [2]

Hi everyone, I'm preparing to apply for a Master's program in Marketing. As part of the application, I need to submit a recommendation letter from my supervisor. She has asked me to draft it first for her review. I would really appreciate it if you could take a look and share your feedback on the letter.
Thank you so much in advance!

P.S. The final version will be written in Korean, so I've translated it into English for your convenience.

"To the Admissions Committee of the Master of Marketing Program, S University,

My name is Anna, and I am the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at A Software. I am writing to offer my highest recommendation for Alex, whom I have directly managed for nearly three years.

Alex joined our company as a Business Development specialist for the Korean market. Despite having no initial background in IT or business, she quickly demonstrated a remarkable capacity for self-learning and a proactive mindset. Alex independently researched and diversified our client acquisition channels and actively connected with our internal marketing teams to build our company's brand in the Korean market.

Her capabilities were most clearly demonstrated through her key role in organizing our networking events in Korea during the 2024-2025 period. Alex's responsibilities ranged from planning and budget proposal to partner coordination. She also provided hands-on support to the marketing team, executing communication tasks such as design, content writing, and setting up ad campaigns on Naver and Google Ads. The results were concrete: our most recent event attracted nearly 40 guests and directly led to a $30,000 contract with a client who learned of the event through the Naver ad campaign she ran.

I have witnessed Alex's growth from a new graduate who was inexperienced, shy, and at times lacked confidence, into a self-assured and effective member of our team. She has clearly identified her passion and direction within the marketing field.

I believe that with her persistence and practical mindset, S University's Master of Marketing program will provide the essential foundation for Alex to systematize her knowledge and develop to the next level. She has all the potential to become an outstanding marketing expert connecting the Vietnamese and Korean markets.

For these reasons, I give my full endorsement and confidently recommend Alex for your program.

Sincerely,

Anna
Chief Strategy Officer (CSO)
A Software"

Graduate / Personal Statement for the MBA in Marketing at Inha University [2]

Hi everyone, I'm planning to apply for the MBA in Marketing at Inha University (Korea). As part of the application, I need to submit a 1-2 page personal statement.
I've drafted my statement below and would really appreciate any feedback or suggestions. I'll be submitting the final version in Korean, but I'm sharing the English version here first. Thank you so much for your time and help!

"Hello,

I am currently working as a Business Development Leader at a software outsourcing company in Vietnam, where I am responsible for the Korean market. My main role is to connect Korean business clients with our internal development team, from finding new clients and understanding their requirements to proposing suitable solutions. Through this experience, I realized that the growth of a technology company does not depend only on technical capability, but also on how well the company understands the market, identifies the right target customers, and builds the right strategy.

In my work, I also had the opportunity to be involved in marketing activities. I directly planned and organized four B2B events in Korea, each with around 60 participants, mainly SMEs, startups, and managers who are interested in working with overseas software development companies. From these events, we were able to generate 2 to 3 new clients each time, and eventually convert them into three software development contracts with a total value of around 70,000 USD. In addition, I also train our business development team on how to find clients and communicate more effectively.

While working with Korean clients, I realized that trust plays a very important role in their decision-making process. In many cases, companies tend to trust partners that are recommended or already known to them. This is even more important in the software outsourcing industry, where the result cannot be fully evaluated before starting the project. Through this experience, I came to understand that marketing is not simply about reaching more customers, but about building trust with the right customers. From my perspective, marketing is not about reaching as many people as possible, but about reaching the right customers with the right level of trust. Therefore, effective marketing should not only focus on promotion, but also on building credibility, delivering the right message, and creating meaningful connections with target clients.

However, looking back at my experience, I feel that my marketing knowledge is still not well structured. I lack a clear understanding of strategic frameworks and data-driven decision making, which makes it difficult for me to expand and improve marketing activities at a higher level. That is why I want to pursue an MBA in Marketing. I want to develop strategic thinking, not only to solve client requests at an execution level, but also to approach problems from a broader business perspective. I also want to improve my ability to analyze data so that I can better understand customer behavior and market response, and apply that to building more effective marketing strategies. In addition, I want to strengthen my problem-solving skills so that I can make better decisions in situations with many variables and uncertainties.

After researching and comparing different marketing-related programs in Korea, I believe that the MBA program at Inha University is the most suitable for my background and future goals. Since I already have experience working with Korean companies, I think studying in Korea will help me better understand how Korean companies actually make decisions and develop their marketing strategies. I also believe that in cross-border business environments, there are not only cultural differences but also differences in decision-making and business perspectives. Understanding these differences will be very important for my future career.

I am also interested in how marketing at Inha is closely connected with data and digital environments, which fits well with my career direction in the IT industry. As marketing is becoming more data-driven and digital-oriented, I believe that learning how to apply data analysis and digital channels in marketing will help me build more effective strategies. Through this program, I want to develop the ability to design data-driven marketing strategies and apply them in real business situations.

After graduation, I want to continue working in marketing and business development in the IT industry. In the long term, I aim to go beyond simply connecting companies and become a professional who can understand both the Korean and Vietnamese markets and design marketing strategies that fit each market. Based on my understanding of the Vietnamese market and my experience working with Korean clients, I hope to contribute to helping companies from both countries expand into each other's markets more effectively.

Thank you."
