I'm writing to say how motivated I am to apply to the master's program at EDU_MIG. My deep curiosity in the ways that education interacts with migration, identity, and inclusion has been shaped by my educational background as well as my professional and personal experiences working with families from a variety of cultural, religious, and social backgrounds. I'm excited to develop the analytical and research based abilities required to make a significant contribution to educational initiatives that address the growing diversity of learning environments.
I completed my Bachelor of Education degree in 2023, graduating with a GPA of 3.6/4, which reflects strong academic performance and consistent engagement with my studies. My undergraduate studies provided a solid foundation in pedagogy, learner development, curriculum planning, and inclusive education. Through both theory and practice, I developed a particular interest in how learning environments can be designed to support learners from diverse cultural, linguistic, and social backgrounds.

My professional experience as a Teacher Assistant in two different boarding school contexts significantly strengthened this interest. I worked interchangeably between two schools with distinctly different demographics, which allowed me to observe and engage with a wide range of learning needs and social dynamics.

The first school was an all girls boarding school, enrolling learners from varied cultural, racial, and socio-economic backgrounds. Learners spoke different home languages and brought diverse lived experiences into the classroom. I helped oversee classroom procedures, assisted learners during class activities, and supported the delivery of lessons in this setting. This event brought to light the significance of effective communication and culturally sensitive instruction in multilingual and multicultural classrooms.

The second school was a co-educational boarding school with both girls and boys of different ages, races, and ethnicities. The school offered additional after school support classes for learners experiencing learning difficulties, where I assisted in carrying out lessons for small groups. My knowledge of inclusive education practices, learner support techniques, and differentiated instruction has improved as a result of this position.
Complementing my school based experience, my work as an au pair to two culturally distinct migrant families in the United States further deepened my understanding of learning beyond formal education systems. Both families had migrated to the United States for different reasons, offering firsthand insight into how migration shapes family dynamics, identity formation, and educational support needs.
My first host family was a White Jewish family with two children. One child, assigned female at birth, was transitioning to a male identity when I joined the family at age ten. In order to provide emotional safety and affirmation for this child, close collaboration with the family, ongoing learning, and sensitivity were all necessary. The second child later adopted a gender-neutral identity and name, and I often advocated for the child within community spaces where understanding was limited. My understanding of how education, language, and social attitudes affect inclusion and belonging has been strengthened by these encounters.

A Hindu family that immigrated to the US for college and eventually made the country their permanent home was my second host family. Their daughter had celiac disease, and their son had been diagnosed with ADHD. Supporting these children required adapting routines, learning strategies, and communication approaches to meet both educational and health-related needs, further strengthening my understanding of inclusive, learner-centred education.
Across my roles as a Teacher Assistant and au pair, I supported learning routines, assisted with academic work, facilitated communication, and adapted educational activities to diverse learner needs. These experiences helped me understand education as a holistic process shaped by migration, culture, identity, health, and social inclusion. Central themes of the EDU_MIG programme.
The objectives of the EDU_MIG master's programme strongly align with my academic interests and professional goals. Its interdisciplinary focus resonates deeply with my background and aspirations. The opportunity to study across different countries and education systems is essential to my goal of developing a comparative, global understanding of how education policies respond to migration, inequality, and transformation.
After completing this master's degree, I intend to apply the knowledge and skills gained to work in education development, learning design, or education focused social programmes that support diverse and migrant populations. I aim to contribute to inclusive learning initiatives, curriculum support programmes, and community based education projects that respond to learners' cultural, linguistic, and identity related needs. In the long term, I hope to work with NGOs, international education organisations, or public sector education initiatives focused on equity, access, and inclusion. The research skills developed through EDU_MIG will also enable me to contribute to evidence based policy development and programme evaluation.
The international and interdisciplinary structure of EDU_MIG is particularly valuable to me. Engaging with students and academics from diverse backgrounds will broaden my perspective and strengthen my ability to work effectively in multicultural and global education environments.
In conclusion, my academic training, strong academic performance, professional experience as a Teacher Assistant, and exposure to migration and diversity have strongly motivated me to pursue the EDU_MIG master's programme. I am committed to using this qualification to advance inclusive educational practices and to contribute positively to education systems shaped by global mobility and diversity.

I'm writing to say how motivated I am to apply to the master's program at EDU_MIG.

There is no need to indicate this in the letter. Instead, try to show your excitement and motivation through concise but deep writing on your part.

I'm excited

Let's keep the tone professional. You may say that you are looking forward to... rather than saying you are excited, which is a very amateur way of saying things.

which reflects strong academic performance and consistent engagement with my studies.

Do not state the obvious. Let the reviewer come to that conclusion on his own after he reviews your complete documentation.

The objectives of the EDU_MIG master's programme strongly align with my academic interests and professional go

Go directly to the context of the paragraph. Again, it is important that the reviewer does not come across repetitive and tired claims from you as the other applicants are making. Your essay will stand out more if you do not use such uniform references in your paragraphs.
