Hello, I would like to ask for some advice my motivation letter in order to apply universities in Hungary. Oh ya also I feel like I don't confident at the end of essay, so can you provide me some tips to write:) Thank you for everything!

Dear Admission Committee,

December, when my 2024 Spotify Wrapped was released, one of the top five was Frank Sinatra's "My Way." During my personal study time, I always make sure to play this song at least once. My favourite part of this song was the lyrics, where Frank said "For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught." These words resonate deeply with me, especially during challenging moments, reminding me of the value of staying true to myself. I have always dreamed of studying abroad, and here I am applying for the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme.

According to my childhood, I earned the nickname "computer geek" from my friends, thanks to my endless curiosity about technology. I vividly remember that time kids usually played Minecraft, while I designing Minecraft mods using simple C++ code. Since then, my computer obsessions have continued until today.

The momentum was during the Indonesian Student Research Olympiad 2023, working with my research club team, we developed an amazing Unmanned Air Vehicle with flapping wings mechanism or you may call it an ornithopter. My work then was to handle the electricity and coding part, such as Arduino IDE. Glad that we were honoured with the Bronze Medal at that time. In the next year, I decided to do research focusing on my computer science field which was an Artificial Intelligence implementation in NPC for educational games. The story behind this was to create a better experience for personal learning in educational games, using an algorithm of behaviour trees. That great experience emphasises my journey to dive deeper into computer science fields for my undergraduate studies.

Hungary is a new place for me, people say "If you don't know, then you don't love." My curiosity led me to fall in love with Hungary at first sight. Hungary, with its rich history of innovation and culture, presents an ideal environment for pursuing studies. Additionally, Hungary's emergence as a tech hub in Central Europe, with a growing number of startups and tech companies, offers valuable opportunities for networking, internships, and hands-on experience. By studying in Hungary, I can immerse myself in an environment that not only aligns with my academic goals but also nurtures my passion for creating impactful solutions for the future.

Studying abroad is undoubtedly a significant step that comes with challenges like culture shock and homesickness. However, I have learned valuable lessons from my father, that you will never find the easiest life, so don't overly worry about that just do it. To overcome these challenges, I plan to immerse myself by participating in community activities and building meaningful connections with both local and international peers. I will also stay grounded by keeping in touch with my family and friends back home, ensuring I maintain a sense of belonging and support.

Through these opportunities for computer science study, I have committed to contribute to the 5th Industrial Revolution. However, I know that this journey will not be easy. While this journey will undoubtedly present an unpredicted future and struggles await us, but, if we keep thinking about how difficult it is, then when do we start taking action? For me, the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme presents a unique opportunity to turn my aspirations into action, which is in line with the goals of the development of the research community globally.

Thank you for considering my application. Through these opportunities, I believe that taking this step will not only shape my future but also enable me to be part of people who contribute meaningfully to society.

Sincerely,

Muhammad Saddam Prayogo

You appear to be academically qualified for the scholarship but, have failed to include true motivating factors that would help highlight your desire and need to study in Hungary. Where is the reference to your future career path that can only become a reality through an education in Hungary? What drove you to consider primarily Hungary for your studies? The aspirations are not clear, the way the education will be used is not referenced. Why did you commit yourself to the 5th industrial revolution? It is not enough to make vague references. You have to show the reviewer your motivations using persuasive information and practices.Choose a specific university and discuss how you align with the university learning objectives and professional considerations.

@Holt Thank you for your advice. I've made the revision based on your review, please check it out:)

Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the boundless potential of technology and earned the nickname "computer geek" from my friends. I vividly remember while many of my peers immersed themselves in playing Minecraft, I designed Minecraft mods using simple C++ code. This early exposure laid the foundation for my passion for computer science until now.

In high school, I took this passion further by joining my school's research club. The momentum was during the Indonesian Student Research Olympiad 2023, as part of the team we developed an amazing Unmanned Air Vehicle with a flapping wings mechanism or you may call it an ornithopter. My role was handling electricity and coding, such as Arduino IDE. This project honoured us with a Bronze Medal. In 2024, I pursued independent research focusing on an Artificial Intelligence implementation in NPC for educational games. The story behind this was to enhance the experience for a student's personal learning in educational games, using an algorithm of behaviour trees. These experiences have influenced my desire to delve deeper into computer science and develop technologies that make a tangible impact on society.

Growing up in the 5th Industrial Revolution, I have witnessed how disparities in access to technology and resources can limit opportunities for many. This reality has inspired me to be a part of the 5th Industrial Revolution. I want to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cutting-edge technologies to create impactful solutions in diverse areas such as healthcare, sustainable development, and public services. My ultimate goal is to drive innovation that bridges gaps, fosters inclusivity, and empowers communities globally.

Hungary is a new place for me, people say "If you don't know, then you don't love." My curiosity led me to fall in love with Hungary at first sight. Hungary's dynamic blend of rich history and forward-thinking innovation makes it a unique destination for academic and personal growth. Specifically, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) is renowned for its cutting-edge computer science program, supported by highly qualified faculty and modern facilities such as labs specializing in AI, robotics, and databases. This aligns perfectly with my research passion and commitment to contribute to the 5th Industrial Revolution, making ELTE my ideal choice for undergraduate studies.

Studying abroad is undoubtedly a significant step that comes with challenges like culture shock and homesickness. However, once my father advised me "Son you will never find the easiest life, so don't overly worry about that just do it." To overcome these challenges, I plan to adapt by engaging in ELTE's vibrant community, extracurricular activities, and maintaining connections with family to stay focused on my goals.

At ELTE, I aspire to apply AI and advanced technologies to create inclusive solutions. The university's innovative environment and research collaboration will emphasise practical, scalable solutions to address the 5th Industrial Revolution.

Thank you for considering my application. Through these opportunities, I believe that taking this step will not only shape my future but also enable me to be part of people who contribute meaningfully to society.

Sincerely,

Muhammad Saddam Prayogo
