getting an info about London seminar

Dear Sir/ Madam

I am writing to you to ask about the seminar that will be held in London next week, the 13th January about new techniques in production management.

I work as a production manager in one of the largest home appliances manufacturing companies in Iran. I have been a manager for five years now, I am always curious about updating myself with the most recent knowledge in my field. So, I am interested in attending this seminar to know and learn the new techniques in workers management and manufacturing lines.

Since I have not got over some information from your advertisement. It would be appreciated if you would tell me in which date the seminar will be held. also, I need to know about seminar program and the type of accommodation you provide for participants. and the last question would be about the cost of registering for the seminar.

I look forward to hearing from you in the near future
Yours faithfully
John

Hello @he227803!. I am here to give you some comments on your letter and I do it as a pleasure for me.

1. At the first paragraph, you mentioned the date is 13th of January, so I don't understand why at the last paragraph you want to know " Which date the seminar will be held" again? or you mean that "where will the seminar be held in London"?

2. At the last paragraph, you wrote: "It would be appreciated if you would tell me". We don't use "will" or "would" in the "if" clause. It should be: " If you told me". Moreover, I recommend that you should use the first conditional for it because this is an event that may occur in the future. So you should write: "It will be appreciated if you tell me". We use the second conditional to talk about an imaginary, impossible or unlikely situation in the present or future.

Please correct me if I have something wrong. Thanks a lot.

Hessen, there are inconsistencies in your letter. First of all, you need to indicate the length of the seminar and if there will be multiple conferences going on simultaneously. You also need to mention the name of the specific seminar that you want to attend because you gave the start date of the seminar but not the name of the seminar you are interested in. From the way that you wrote the letter, it seems that you have an interest in a specific seminar which takes place on a specific date and time that is not indicated in the advertisement. Make that clear in your letter. You should also ask if you qualify for the conference / seminar based upon your work experience. That is, if you believe that there might be a situation that will prevent you from being an attendee at the said event. The letter that you wrote is inconsistent in terms of inquiry and information presentation. It seems that you did not really review the information you were given to include in this letter writing exercise. Had you done so, you would have come up with a better written inquiry letter than this.

Hi Hessen! This is my corrections! Please correct me if i'm wrong :)

Dear Sir/ Madam

... in London next week, the 13th January about new techniques ...

i think you might want to write it like this, it's more eye catchy >> held in London next week (the 13th January) about new techniques

I worked as a production ...
... years now, I am was always curious about updating encouraging myself to be updated with the most ...
So Therefore, I am interested in (...) and learn the new techniques in ...

It would be appreciated I really appreciated it if you would tell (...) will be held (as @phantrung said, you've already mentioned the date above, so why bother asking again?). Also, I need to know I am humbly asking you about the seminar program (...) accommodation that you provided for participants. and the last question would be about the cost of registering for the seminar. (i think you need to choose more polite sentence to end this paragraph)

I am looking forward to hearing ...
