Master Environment and Energy Management Motivation letter (UNIVERSITY OF TWENTE)

I am applying for the Environment and Energy Management master's program at the University of Twente this year, and I would appreciate your feedback on what I wrote below in terms of structure, grammar, the flow of stories, and if I have clearly addressed everything that could qualify me for the scholarship.

UNIVERSITY OF TWENTE SCHOLARSHIP MOTIVATION LETTER

During my 4-year study in Geological Engineering at Bandung Institute of Technology, the courses provide me with adequate knowledge in environmental geology, statistic, geologic law and economics, and GIS technology. Besides studying, I often participate in volunteering work like geological hazard mapping and water aquifer mapping. These experiences help me learn how to implement my geological knowledge to solve environmental problems and improve the quality of life in rural areas. After graduating, I started my professional career as an exploration geologist. During my fieldwork, I learn how to use geostatistics and analyze the chemical and physical features of soils or rocks using geophysical tools and laboratories analysis to improve the data accuracy. My professional and educational backgrounds have provided me with in-depth knowledge of natural resources features and enriched my capabilities to collaborate and deliver ideas effectively in different work environments.

I decided to take Master Environmental and Energy Management because this program aligns with my future career goal as a Sustainable Environment Consultant or an Entrepreneur. With my professional and educational background, I expect to broaden my knowledge and technical skills in sustainable management to develop a circular model for managing the mining industry to overcome sustainability challenges. With my accumulated knowledge from MEEM Program, I plan to make significant contributions and genuinely help my country achieve United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. I believe, through the MEEM courses and hands-on research, I will gain a 360-degree view of the environment and energy business, which will bring me closer to my future career goal.

To become a prominent Sustainable Environment Consultant or entrepreneur, I plan to learn theoretical and practical knowledge in analyzing and designing management strategies for a greener industry by implementing sustainable management at the MEEM Program. These skillsets have been an inevitable requirement for my future career goal as it helps create solutions to tackle the environmental issue. After completing the MEEM Program, I plan to gain professional experience in managing the environment and energy in Netherland for five years while expanding my network with professionals to learn how to transform sustainability challenges into a new business model.

The University of Twente caught my attention because this university has a unique approach; High Tech Human Touch, which will be a perfect platform for becoming a leader in the socio-technological system. The University of Twente also has personalized and futureproof education called Twente Educational Model, which will help me find the best way to implement our knowledge in society. I believe that studying at the University of Twente in Leeuwarden will be a life-changing experience as I will have the opportunity to develop personally and professionally in an international atmosphere that ensures my brighter future and career. Moreover, Leeuwarden is the European Capital of Culture that offers many cultural events and sustainable projects in which I would love to participate and learn more about different cultures and values.

The response to the first few questions of the essay are on point. The paragraphs respond to the questions, but can use some editing to help shorten the response, allowing the reviewers to scan the essay for information and applicability in a manner that will save them time, since they have other essays to review within the work day. The main problem of the essay is the response to why they chose the university.

As a response, it does not really lend itself to the connection between learning goals and career outcomes. The explanations are too simple and do not really illustrate the understanding the applicant has of the course curriculum as it applies to the professional interest of the student, which the university exposure can help him achieve. The main question that should be answered is how will these be met by the university masters course. The response at the moment could use more work as the information is neither here nor there in terms of enhancing the response to the given question.
