Over the past decade, France has recorded over half a million corporate bankruptcies, mirroring a similarly alarming surge in business insolvencies across Indonesia. While often attributed to macroeconomic pressures, a deeper analysis reveals that a staggering percentage of these failures share a systemic root cause: the inability to translate operational data into strategic decisions. Companies consistently gather immense volumes of data but lack the intelligence systems required to extract actionable insights, leading to miscalculated budgeting, unchecked operational inefficiencies, and ultimately, financial ruin.
Witnessing this critical gap has strongly motivated my application to the Human Intelligence System Management program at iaelyon School of Management. In my professional experience as a Human Resources practitioner with a specialized focus on Compensation and Benefits, I have observed firsthand the consequences of poor data utilization. Many companies fail to execute tangible manpower planning or accurately forecast long-term personnel costs. I realized that preventing financial leaks and optimizing human capital requires more than traditional administrative practices; it demands a transition toward designing robust, data-driven intelligence systems capable of precise forecasting and risk mitigation.
To actively pursue this transition, I recently completed a 6-month coursework in Digital & Artificial Intelligence Based HR Management. Through this program, I developed a foundational understanding of data analytics and visualization, gaining practical exposure to tools such as Tableau and Google Looker Studio. While this experience allowed me to begin transforming raw HR data into structured visual insights, I recognize that evolving from basic data visualization to architecting comprehensive, predictive intelligence systems requires the advanced academic rigor offered by your institution.
To bridge this gap, I am drawn to the comprehensive curriculum of your program. I am particularly eager to engage with modules focused on business intelligence, data-driven decision-making, and information systems management. These subjects will provide me with the technical and strategic frameworks necessary to transform complex organizational data into sustainable, crisis-resistant growth strategies.
The program's practical integration is perfectly aligned with my professional roadmap. During the 3-month internship in the first year and the 6-month internship in the second year, I intend to join a management consulting firm as a Business Intelligence Specialist intern. In this role, I plan to leverage my background in manpower analytics while actively expanding my scope to analyze operations, marketing, and finance. Consequently, I aim to focus my thesis on developing intelligence frameworks that optimize cross-functional corporate efficiencies.
Upon graduation, my immediate plan for the next five years is to establish myself as a Business Intelligence Specialist within a top-tier management consulting company. By my fifth to eighth year, I aim to advance to a managerial position, leading intelligence teams in executing data-driven corporate turnaround strategies.
Ultimately, these experiences will culminate in my long-term entrepreneurial vision: founding an EdTech and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company in Indonesia. This venture will focus on upskilling local talent in Data Science, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and Business Intelligence. By connecting these highly trained professionals with French and European startups, the enterprise will provide European companies with competent, cost-effective manpower to drastically reduce their financial burn rates during development phases, while simultaneously generating high-value job opportunities for Indonesian talent. I am confident that the Human Intelligence System Management program will provide the exact academic foundation and practical exposure I need to achieve these goals.
