Dear All, Please give a read to this LOR which i wrote on behalf of my supervisor, for MYSELF only. The admission deadline is near and your comments would really help me to fasten this process.

Please reply ASAP. With Regards,

To Whom It May Concern

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Ms. Vishu Teotia to your MBA HR program. I have been her direct superior for almost 2 years (December, 2011 - October, 2013). I hired her as a Business Coordinator for B.A.G Live Entertainment Ltd. Where she worked for DHAMAAL 106.4 (a Radio Station having presence in 9 cities) for a year and half during my tenure as the Business Head. After that, she worked for Skyline Tele Media Service, a Media broadcasting technology service provider where I served in the capacity of Business head. Both these companies come under the umbrella of Broadcast24 group. Her goal was to obtain MBA degree for quite some time and I feel she is the perfect candidate for your esteemed program.

Her main responsibilities included preparing proposals and plans, helping the sales representatives improving their productivity, liaising with HR department in hiring and termination of employees, evaluation of employee's performance. From the very first month, I was impressed with her enthusiasm and professionalism and during her stay she consistently demonstrated all the qualities that led me to hire her. The timing of Ms. Vishu arrival coincided with the total overhaul of DHAMAAL 106.4. With her positive attitude towards challenges and willingness to learn and absorb, helped her in understanding the basics of Radio industry like knowledge of the radio market, different station and program styles and audience demographics quickly. Ms. Vishu was very vocal about her ideas and humble while taking constructive criticism. She coordinated with technical department and was involved in the making of Radio station's new website. She also handled the Social Media page of DHAMAAL 106.4 and worked hard to increase the reach and subscriber base of our radio station.

She had to coordinate with her colleagues in marketing, sponsorship, events, publicity and programming to ensure that radio station output supports revenue generation. Ms.Vishu was the reporting authority to a Sales Team stationed at 9 different locations throughout India. She developed monthly and yearly sales target to achieve and her result oriented, target driven nature helped the sales team in achieving agreed revenue targets on a regular basis, which helped in increasing the Sales volume by 30% in a year. Managerial, interpersonal, independent and proactive, she initiated a new system of records integration to avoid overlapping of clients amongst sales team. A strong motivator, she learnt the strengths and weakness of her team members and utilized that information to improve their performance and foster an environment of trust. Being creative, she consistently offered fresh perspective on how to extract the best out of them.

During her tenure with Skyline Tele Media Services, she coordinated with the Ministry of Information and Broadcast regarding compliance of various policies and agreements, orders, advisory, notices, amendments, frequency allocation for broadcaster, OB VAN(DSNG/SNG) operating license, permitted content on private TV channels. She worked hard to maintain good relationship with clients and vendors and assisted the accounts department with resolution of problems related to payment and revenue collection. Ms. Vishu also prepares proposals and quotation for clients. She enthusiastically took over additional responsibilities as they become available and handled each new role with professionalism.

She has strong sense of ownership towards assigned responsibilities coupled with her insatiable desire to serve the clients with best plausible solution. Her great sense of humor has helped her forged strong relationships with subordinates, peers and members of our management team, thus making her an even better candidate for your HR program. Hence even with her experience in sales domain, she has expanded her skill-sets required human resource in a neat way. Also, She is very well organized, diligent in her paperwork, easily approachable and always on time. All these make her a top potential for your program and provide fresh perspectives in your classes with strong background.

Her participation in MBA will add to the quality in discussions and projects. Hence, I highly recommend her without reservation, and I am most certain she will make a great addition to your MBA program.

Vishu, the letter is already complete and informative as it is. The paragraphs just need to be adjusted and revised at certain points. Let me help with that aspect of editing your letter now. Like I said Vishu, the letter is very complex and complete when it comes to your professional information and on the job training skills. While I find the letter to be extremely wordy, I will not consider that a negative because you were describing your professional duties and accomplishments. The narrative letter is most likely the writing style that you are most comfortable with :-) You don't have to worry about how it will be received by the reviewer.

While he might think that the letter is too long because the page is filled with words, if he takes the time to really analyze and understand the content of your recommendation letter, he will come to see that you are a candidate who is ready for an MBA in HR Management. All of the winning traits of a potential MBA student is clearly represented in your letter and in your skills. It is really a very good letter.

Honestly, I would not ask you to change anything in this letter. You have covered all of your bases and made sure that you will be viewed in the best possible light by the reviewer. Have confidence when you submit this letter. You have done your best. Now, it's all up to the way the reviewer will consider all of the documents you will submit with your application :-)
