Contract agreement (law project) - acceptance of a valid offer

So stuck on where to start, what to do for the body how to end!

The Assignment 2 topic and question is as follows:

"Without a valid acceptance of a valid offer, an agreement, and hence a simple contract, cannot arise. Furthermore, all simple contracts will be agreements, but not all agreements will be simple contracts."

After reflecting on the above statement, examine (within the scope of the course) the rules to create a valid offer and a valid acceptance, and the additional two essentials needed to transform an agreement into a contract. As this essay requires an analytical approach, you should extend your discussion beyond a mere description of the principles. Whilst a good discursive coverage of the relevant principles is expected, in terms of the analytical component of your essay you are encouraged to focus on a significant aspect of one of the essentials in the creation of a contract and to critically analyse the rules or principles applicable to it. You should use case authorities to support your arguments, and if possible illustrate with examples of contemporary cases before the courts. You should use a range of secondary authorities (books and articles), consistent in number and quality with a first year level university essay, and duly acknowledged with proper referencing to support your assertions and arguments.

Hi Matthew, start by telling us a little about the concepts discussed in the text book you are using! If you are stuck on the beginning, middle, and end, it must mean you just feel lost in this class.

So... begin by looking in the text to find the rules to create a valid offer and a valid acceptance, and the additional two essentials needed to transform an agreement into a contract. Explain those in your next post if you can, and we will have to use them to analyze the statement.
