I need help to start my research paper. I have manu ideas, but i don't know how to start.

Is it ihuman to take a persons life for the punushment of a crime? What crimes warrant punishment death? People have strong and passionate feeling about this very controversal topic.
I think you might begin by looking at why death penalty was introduced. You might talk about crimes about different means of tackling crimes,- deterence, retribution and correction, other jurisdiction have instead of death penalty.
Has it worked? Does it really deter people?
what are the reasons why it was abolished in other countries, do states who have them have higher rate of murder? what about the victims? I hpoe I helped you.

It is SO much easier and better to write the intro AFTER the rest of the essay is completed. It is hard to introduce something you don't know about yet. Let the essay take form, and then the intro will be easy. Write the WHOLE thing first. :-)

u can start your introduction like this - In recent times the world has become increasingly violent due to an increase in crimes. Often serious criminals get death sentence for their act but some people argue that capital punishment is morally not acceptable. This eassy unfolds both sides of capital punishment, whether it is acceptable or not to take someone's life for committing a crime.
Points against capital punishment.
1. Many people think that it is inhumane and socially worng to take people's life.
2. There could be more possible ways to punish a perosn rather than death penalty. For example, life
time prison.
3 Many people cannot afford justice due to poverty.
4. Execution is final, there is no second chance to free a person if he or she is found innocent later on.

you can also take an ethicla stance in the essay, you can use Kant's view Where every human like has dignity or when you talking about people that agrees and you showin their arguments use the utilitarian view, "The greatest good for the greatest number" and talk about how the death penetly is for the greatest number of people because by exicuting these people keeps the communities safer...welll that ideas for the body of the essay..I think you should start it off with a famouse quotes talk a little about your topic and state your thesis...this the outline i used for mines
Intro
-att. getter
-Thesis
Body
-process (how it started..to now)
-Claim ( 1 claim that support your thesis)
-Claim (2nd claim that support your thesis)
-Claim ( 3rd claim, the more claims you have the longer your essay will be I had 3 in mines and it made me a 6 page essay)
- then come up with 3 arguments against or for your topic (paragrah for each)...if you want after each paragraph you can write yor rebuttal on y u disagree/ why they are wrong
-Conclusion
What i did with mines because i did not have a rebuttal was stated my thesis 1st
then summary where i listed my 3 claims
final was to leave a impact
