I choose Master of Business Administration as the proposed course. This course will help me support my family's business and contribute to business development in Cambodia. While helping with our business that deal with equipment and power tools, I have gained hands-on experience in customer relations and basic management; however, I realize that a majority of decisions rely on experience rather than actual knowledge of business, which limits the possibility of growth and sustainability.
Studying Business Administration will provide skills in leadership, strategic analysis, marketing, innovation and financial competences. These skills are essential for strengthening business management and sustainable growth. It will help me expand market reach, create effective strategies, develop new ideas, improve products and services and great decision making for long-term growth.
Beside professional development, I plan to share my knowledge and practical experience through social media platform and online communities to support young entrepreneur and local small and medium enterprises (SMEs). I hope to help SMEs improve marketing, business management, financial decisions, innovation, adapt to market changes, strengthen competitiveness of locally made products, and achieve more sustainable growth.
I chose the University of Melbourne because its MBA program emphasis on leadership and global business connectivity. Courses such as Leadership, Managing People, Marketing, Innovation Bootcamp, and Immersive Business Experience (IBE) will enhance my ability to lead teams, identify opportunities, and operate a successful business.
Alternatively, Monash University offers me innovation and strategic leadership courses such as Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Connection and Communication, and Financial management. These competencies will help entrepreneurs develop new business ideas, improve team collaboration and customer relations, and manage finances efficiently during this poor economic condition.
