My career goal is to become a human resource supervisor. I have developed substantial experience as a middle-level manager by integrating staff data that the school has never had before and helping to maintain stable retention over time. The staff turnover rate is around 5%. After having worked in this field for nearly two years, I realized that I am in great need of a more effective people management, and strategic thinking in developing a suitable human resource policy. Therefore, Master of Human Resource Management will significantly contribute to my personal skill and professional career growth. First, the combination of instructional leadership and negotiation subjects will strengthen my ability to execute the conflict settlement. It is an essential method to maintain retention within organization. Even though I always successfully resolved the conflict between staff members under my supervision, I believe my confidence is limited for dealing with conflicts between colleagues with more senior and professional experience. Secondly, through people analytics subject, I will develop the ability to conduct a more comprehensive data analysis by using data visualization software. Currently, I only develop the leave record in Excel and school's system, specifically about teaching staff to support director in assessing and reviewing the impact to uncovered classes and observe the pattern of absence frequency. Third, I will increasingly meet individuals from diverse backgrounds, roles, and experience along this field. Strategic human resource management is a leadership-oriented subject that can help me to be resilient and adaptable in managing people more effectively under the constant change of the organization's manpower. Most importantly, I will be able to develop a feasible HR strategy according to actual working environment within the organization.
