what i expect of the Summer school (new points and idioms)

i am applying for a summer camp in Germany (salem int school). this camp is for 14-16 years. there are many outdoor activities as well as a few eng courses. they are offering a 100% scholarship. the deadline is tuesday evening GMT. one of the things i need is a good essay. the essay is supposed to be on:

"what i can contribute to this year's summer school and what knowledge and skills i hope to gain. include info about your country, hobbies and interests."

the following is my plan: for now i need valid points with which i can start working on my essay.

Contribute:[/i]
diff traditions and cultures; i am a pakistani living in tanzania.
language, eg Swahili
active participation during the camp and being a role model for others; use my leadership qualities to do so.
ideas from diff perspectives
knowledge of a diff school curriculum.

Gain:[i]

knowledge of other cultures
new friends
enhance my knowledge through courses
introspection
become more independent
learn a bit of german
helps for uni application.

Country:[/i]
TZ is a big country
part of East african community
touristic country with touristic sites like, ngorongoro game reserve, MT kilimanjaro
kind people, very little theft

surfing on the net;searching for new info, from ipad apps to a subject research
reading adventure and fantasy novels
basketball; basketball team

astronomy
IT; Apple:P
being a leader

i will have my 1st draft after school (after 8 hours).

I like the way you organized this according to the ideas they suggested. You will make a good impression if you write 7 paragraphs: an intro, a conclusion, and 5 body paragraphs that go with each of these 5 topics.

But what is your BIG IDEA? The reader will finish reading and remember only one big idea. What will that be?

I think all these 5 ideas should support one big idea that has something to do with your plan for the future. The reader will respect you a little or a lot depending on how detailed your plan is (even if it might change) and how many short term and long term goals you mention.

That's the secret! :-)
