I was always fascinated by the world of science where mysteries become facts , my passion towards science and biology grew bigger and entitled me to win the National Biology Pioneers contest for Syrian secondary school , and later on I graduated with a Bachelor degree in Pharmacy and pharmaceutical chemistry from Damascus university , one of the highly competitive programs in my country with a very good GPA.
During college I took one course each in molecular biology and biotechnology and learned some significant technical knowledge in biomedical science, a continually changing dynamic profession , highly relevant to major issues facing society today. I am keen to learn about more it, and become involved in the latest advances in medical research, and on top of this I find this subject a challenging, rewarding and inspiring topic . However , coming from a developing country , there aren't many investments in this field nor high qualifications to serve it , and due to the crucial circumstances my country is going through , where its educational system is deteriorating among other facilities , I find myself a good candidate to apply for Erasmus Mundus- Epic scholarship, a prestigious program that offers opportunities to highly qualified people .
I have always been determent to continue my educational development and to further deepen my knowledge in bio medical sciences by achieving a degree in this field. I believe the program Msc in biomedical science offered by Cardiff metropolitan university an outstanding reputed UK University is my first choice , the modules are Distinguished, comprehensive , accurate and cover the knowledge and skills required , the qualification gained will be accredited by the Institute of Biomedical science and well Recognized world wild, it's a unique program indeed . I believe that by attending this course I will be provided with knowledge that I won't be provided with the same standards elsewhere. Along with the experience gained form living in UK multi -Culture society where I can expand my network and interact with Students from different countries .
For my future plans I want to lead a medical laboratory for tests and diagnosis especially in clinical chemistry and hematology section regarding blood diseases . And when the political situation in Syria is resolved I plan to become a lecturer at my home university and reflect the Education I acquired abroad to Syrian students and Enhance ( expand ) their knowledge in this field , perhaps starting a "diagnosing methods" Department in my country .
With commitment, determination and self discipline I'm willing to be miles away from home aspiring to become a great Biomedical scientist . I am a reliable, self motivated person who is quick to learn and comprehend , and able to work methodically, efficiently and accurately, I believe I will give a positive idea about the education taught in Cardiff Metropolitan all over my network and all over Syria when I practice my career in the educational and professional field , I would be privileged to receive an acceptance offer from Epic scholarship program.
