Question: One of the UWC values is personal challenge. How do you challenge yourself? In what ways are you challenged on a daily basis? How do you deal with failure? 150 words
Answer: One of my biggest challenges is the idea that, through focused intention and effort, I can shape myself into the person I aspire to be, an ideal I strive to maintain. Daily, I focus on areas I wish to improve, setting small, specific goals. For example, today I will spend an hour studying a particular subject, cleaning my room, or even talking to someone unexpected. At the end of the day, I reflect on what I did well and what could have been improved, programming my mind to materialize my desires.
I must admit that I am an extremely insecure person; there is always something inside me saying that I am not good enough to achieve my goals. However, the trick is to deal with these thoughts as if they were from an inner conspiracy theorist. Just as a conspiracy theorist believes in unfounded theories, we should address this inner voice by demonstrating that what it says is incorrect, providing evidence of our abilities and achievements.
