Explain the extent to which you have a long-term interest in Ireland and how you will promote links with Ireland during your time as a GOI-IES scholar and following your studies, as a GOI-IES alumna/alumnus. MAX 500 WORDS

My interest in Ireland extends beyond obtaining a postgraduate degree; it represents the beginning of a long-term academic, professional, and collaborative relationship that I intend to develop throughout my studies as a GOI-IES scholar and continue beyond graduation as a GOI-IES alumnus.
Knowledge sharing through education is one of the key ways I intend to promote links between Ireland and Nigeria. The field of transportation and logistics is still developing in Nigeria, with limited numbers of experts in both academic and professional spaces. This was evident during my undergraduate studies, as I was part of the second cohort of the programme after its accreditation, and some courses were delivered by lecturers from related fields. Through my studies in Ireland, I hope to contribute to strengthening this area by creating an Ireland-Nigeria transport and logistics knowledge exchange initiative between my former university and Irish institutions.

I maintain a close relationship with one of my former lecturers, Dr Oderinde, who is now the Head of Department, and I believe this initiative would be welcomed as a way to expose students and professionals to global perspectives. The initiative would involve virtual guest lectures, sharing Irish case studies in sustainable transport and supply chain management to support curriculum development, connecting students with Irish academics and professionals, and exploring opportunities for short courses through distance learning. By sharing the knowledge, experience, and networks gained from Ireland, I hope to support the growth of transportation and logistics education in Nigeria while strengthening the relationship between both countries. This also aligns with Ireland's long-term objective of strengthening partnerships between Irish and African third-level institutions and developing new and emerging markets, particularly in Nigeria. Through this initiative, I hope to contribute to a sustainable exchange of knowledge and expertise that creates value for both countries.

Professionally, I look forward to engaging with the Logistics and Supply Chain Skills Week organised by the Logistics and Supply Chain Skills Group during my time in Ireland. Participating in this event will expose me to the role of the logistics sector in supporting Irish businesses, communities, and career development opportunities. It will also allow me to build long-term professional networks and gain insights into industry practices, emerging technologies, and skills development approaches that can be adapted to Nigeria. Through virtual seminars, professional engagement, and knowledge-sharing activities, I aim to create lasting connections between Irish and Nigerian transport and logistics professionals.

As a GOI-IES alumnus, I intend to remain connected with Ireland through the ATU Alumni Mentorship Programme, where I can share my academic journey, professional experiences, and insights with current students. I believe this continued engagement will allow me to support future students while maintaining a long-term relationship with ATU and contributing to the strong partnership between Ireland and Nigeria.

Professionally, I look forward to

This paragraph does not feel fully developed. The general ideas are there, but the impactful implementation is not. It lacks the same idea development Sas the previous paragraph. You may want to lessen the introduction to the topic, which is actually not necessary in this case, so that you can focus more on delivering well developed ideas and explanations. You have a maximum allowance of 500 words. That does not mean you need to provide exactly 500 words. You can provide less word count provided your ideas are solid and believably explained. The rest of the essay is acceptable. It is good enough to interest the reviewer and inform him about your plans for the development of the Irish-Nigerian diplomatic relationship through business and studies.
