Since I was in college, I had numerous volunteering experience and joining several social events and be participated as a member of some organizations. The one I have never forgotten it, I once being a leader of the project on Tambak Lorok, Semarang as Profesional staff on Executives Student Board at Diponegoro University. It enhanced me so much a deep knowledge of how to empower other through our empowerment.

Networking has always been my key success through the year spent. I got a lot of number in my contact because I accidentally making them a friend to connect in some other way in the future. After attending the reunion of SMA N 1 Tangerang. A moment afterward, I met with my friend from senior high school, then share the same ideas. My concern is making a good food for good health is the same with them, so we share a lot of ideas together then making our own project called by Chef Mandala. I never thought it took me into the huge opportunity for spreading my network. Long short story, I get a chance to meet the mayor of my city, Bpk. Wahidin Halim. The governmant plan to make some cullinery event but did not know how to start it yet. They invites local community to share the ideas. The moment I shared with him is mind-blowing, I can share my ideas with the number one person in my city. I take full advantage on him.

What is likely to happen is, when I use my networking skill through my project leader experience. During my first logistics project, i am a member of Samudera Indonesia Group, it is a nationwide excellence connection on logistics expertise within my company. The number of members is huge, it almost 5000 people all around my country. My position took me easy to get in contact with some significant people. I contacted some of my professional colleague from department head to the director, and once I get the chance to talk a lot with the CEO for sharing how logistics drove our lives.

In the meantime, according to the first project logistics I handled, I really need to get feedback how the operation should be going and Mr. Hilmi is the person I need, he is a trucking operation specialist over Sumatera Island. The project I was handling is transporting the steam turbine (part of power plant) from project site at Bojonegara, Banten to port (reimported the cargo). There is two kinds of cargos, steam turbine, and an additional part. I have the experience for handling heavy lift cargo as well, but not the additional part. There are plenty of boxes who needs to be transported all the way with the main cargo, so discussed this to Mr. Hilmi which one the best transportation we will use in order to keep the cargo save. Networking has a proven positive impact on me. It allows me to get a true sense of being people, that we are as a human being always been connecting to one and another, diversity leads me to strengthen my personal network

Poni, your essay should only focus on your professional networking skills. The time when you became a project leader sounds like you had the perfect opportunity to further develop your existing network, use your existing network, and have an interactive networking experience. The problem is that this part of the essay as presented in your essay sounds more like you were practicing leadership and influencing rather than networking.

The network should be presented in a manner that had you contacting other people within your profession, if possible, from different offices and companies, in order to solve an office problem that you had. If it relates to logistics, then present a situation when you could not get a particular product delivered on time but through the use of your network, you were able to get the product delivered ahead of schedule instead. Something along those lines should be able to present a better networking example from your work experience. It will be better and more applicable than the essay that you have at the moment.

Hi, you have to list how did you connect people or institutions together and what happened next, the outcome of this networking and at the end what are you willing to do with your experience from the scholarship and how are you going to benefit your colleagues .. hope this helps and good luck!
