There is nothing impossible in this world provided one has the necessary willpower and determination to do it. That's right, "Where there is a will, there is a way" is the belief that I hold strongly to and keeps me fighting on until now and forever. When I was young, my results are very poor, but with the influence from my family and friends, I decided to change my lifestyle and strive hard for a better future. With strong will and unshakable determination, I have showed huge improvements. From a boy played around all the time to a man who enjoys reading, learning and thinking, I have become mature and sensible in these years.

I may not be the top student in school but I am not inferior to them when it comes to perseverance. Bill Gates said" I failed in some subjects in exam, but my friend passed in all. Now he is an engineer in Microsoft and I am the owner of Microsoft." His words has inspired me and taught me that failure is the best teacher to success. I don't have any special talent that makes me popular in school but my perseverance and charisma shape me to a lovable person among my friends.

Perhaps I am not the study-type-person as you can refer in my UEC result. But action speaks louder than word, I am more of a hands-on-type person as I always in charge of the science fair in my school and I can handle experiments very well. This is why I choose to be an engineer.

I think luck is what I really need now and I sincerely hope that the scholarship selection committee will give me luck by offering a scholarship and a chance to study in your university. Thank you.

Hi first of all,thank you for your help.Reading your essay I realized I am a ''Microsoft Engineer''.As to my beliefs. My mother once told me , sorry if its not written quite in good English,"Never do anything with your hands,that can be done by your mind''. So since than I am working hard to reach the "Top"level in my career as a Neuroscientist.

Hey, Thanks for your help Mancho. What I mean by "hand-on-type" is to emphasize on the idea that I love to create or invent things ( of course I need to use my mind to innovate stuff). ya that's what engineers do and I don't want you to get the wrong idea of me haha. Thanks again^^

You might want to end this differently. Scholarships are not given to the lucky ones but to those who deserve them. End with a convincing statement that makes you a deserving candidate for the scholarship

Awesome Essay Man....but in my personally angle u should add more reasons and give some relevant example why u choose to be an engineer...otherwise it's adorable....Good job....
