classof18 1 / 2 Dec 30, 2013 #1Hi! I'd really appreciate it if you gave some feedback to the first draft of my extracurricular activities essay :) Duke & Stanford both need this. Thanks! As Media Coordinator, you'd find me in these two places: behind the camera or behind a laptop.Behind the camera, it's all about planning and flexibility. I have to be on the lookout for specific shots that I want to capture and make the most out of that single moment (experience, or event). At times I failed to capture some shots, and that's when I learned to make the most of what I had.Behind the laptop, I have the freedom to create. As I string together clips of my youth group at a Habitat for Humanity worksite, I realize that my role is never a bore because of the different activities, events, and places. Whether or not the video effectively communicates and leaves an impression is all in my control. After a long night of editing, my creative person is satisfied by the applaud of the audience.
enique94 1 / 4 Dec 30, 2013 #2It sounds as if you are on your way! The only my only suggestion work on keeping everything in the present tense( this makes it sound more exciting).Example:At times I failed to capture some shots, and that's when I learned to make the most of what I had.Times when I fail to capture some shots is when I learn to make the most of what I have. Its not a very easy thing to do, I even struggle with it in my essays.I hope this helps and Good LUCK!
