Studying organic chemistry in the pre high school class was always an excitement. Before entering into high school, I perceived that Chemistry would be my favourite subject. When we started work on preparation of chemicals, I immediately realised that this aspect of science made a clear distinction between memorising and understanding. I could easily understand what was been thought and my interest gradually developed into an insatiable appetite for lab work. Consequently, I decided to help the lab assistants to set up the lab for practical at all times. Soon I could do everything without any help. As a science student, I had to give an equal time to each subject but I always devoted a special time to Chemistry because it was the only subject that I could understand well without having to memorise a handful of definitions. Through all these experiences, I developed a keen interest for research and this became visible in the Biology class. During a class on Nervous Systems, I was enthralled by how the brain works and the coordination that takes place to enable impulses to be sent and received. Though I have not had any platform to research on the activity of the brain, I would like to cease the opportunity to know more about this vital organ of the body.
