College essay "How did you learn about NJIT and why are you applying for admission?"

The first time I had ever heard the name NJIT was during my high school freshmen year. I heard the name when my Sunday School servant in church was telling the class about his experiences during his freshmen year in NJIT. At that time I had no idea which college I was going to after I graduate from high school. All I had on my mind was to study hard and get good grades to enter a college with high education level. My freshmen and sophomore years passed and still I was not sure which major and I wanted to take. When I became a junior, I knew the time had to come to decide my future after high school by picking out a college that would suit my major. It took me a while to pick a major but I finally decided to major in mathematical sciences. Math and science had been my best subjects overall since I was in elementary school. My parents could not afford going to college out of state so I had to search for in state colleges. I came upon a couple colleges but the one that really stood out was NJIT because of its high profile education program.

My Sunday School servant recommended me to apply for NJIT for he said the learning environment is very pleasant and the staff are very respectful to all students and are willing to provide help for all students who need it. After searching on the internet for many hours, I came to the conclusion that NJIT is the prefect place for my college education for a couple reasons. First and main reason is that NJIT provides many internship programs for students who are seeking jobs during college which I will take an advantage of in the future to help my parents pay for college tuition. Second of all the math and science programs are rated among the top programs in New Jersey. A couple weeks ago, I have visited the campus to check out how it looks like and actually feel what it is like to be a college student in NJIT. The campus is a very beautiful and comfortable place in which I feel like I belong to and a place in which I see my dreams coming true.

Each student has the right to pursue the best education possible to achieve his/her dreams. After working hard through my high school years to please my parents and myself all I can wish for is to get into the college of my dreams to make my parents proud and honored and to open a new life page in which I will write all the goals which I will achieve by working hard and trying my absolute best.
