Could anyone check my essay? I am waiting for your opinions:) Is there anything I should change?

Who I am? Seemingly an easy question to answer. Human. But after a deeper consideration an answer is not that easy. We have to think what we stand for, what is important for us, what experiences have made us into the person we are today. It is all about finding our identity. As we get older we are enlarging our knowledge about finding ourselves, we are able to figure out what life means to us, because we are gaining experience. It is a method of acquiring knowledge and apprehension of a thought or emotion. We are gaining experience after going through important events and its appreciation should always prevail.

Obviously, everyone would prefer to endorse a positive experience that brings us joy and happiness. But experiencing something negative does not always mean a reverse. Misfortunes more than anything else help us in figuring what we want to do during our lives and help us in becoming the better person.

I can still remember an accident, which changed my worldview and my identity.

I am skiing down a mountain. I am enjoying it, it is breathtaking. I can finally escape from a daily routine. It is giving me a sensation of an absolute freedom. I wish this moment could last forever. There is no other feeling like flying down the slopes with the rush of wind against my face...

All of a sudden a small child dashes out into the middle of a ski route. I am trying to avoid it. I am losing control of my legs. I am hitting the ground. I am not able to move. Thousands of thoughts are coming through my mind.

I was taken to a hospital, where I was going to have an operation under narcosis. All the things that are around me began to blur...

Ever since I have had this thought provoking accident I am waking up every day with a reflection that I have to seize the day.

After going through operation I had some moments of reflection. A careful consideration made me realize that ambition and motivation are the most important aspects of my identity. I had been tremendously invigorated by that fact. Now I know that one of the thing that is incessantly adjusting me to be the person I should be in a future is going through life's challenges. My mother was the only one, who stayed with me during operation and who convinced me that everything is going to be alright, if I will believe it.

After breaking my elbow, I was not able to straighten my arm, but at the same time I wanted to take a part in a swimming competition. I knew that the only thing that can help me is my faith and motivation. Since then I have been grateful to my mom, because apart from grappling with her own difficulties, she also helped me to achieve a success.

She became my role model. Not only is she running her own business, but at the same time she is fighting for alimony in the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and enabling me to expand my horizons. Due to her and my travels - I was able to discover the world, understand other cultures, I became a global awared individual and I developed my language abilities. It was her, who was encouraging me to expand my skills, to be a persistent person and to follow my dreams.

I know that regardless of adversities, we have to strive for the success. I am the person that is committed to her aims. Having high aspirations taught me that apart from constantly improving myself and having an intellectual curiosity, I have to be determined, obstinate and believing human.

Now, I strongly believe that it does not matter how many times I will fall down, I would be always able to stand up and go further.
