Commonapp short answer: leadership activities and volunteer work.

Hi! I'm applying for several universities in the US and, first of all, I would like to know if I'm writing what I have to write, I mean:

-Short answer (extracurricular activities): about leadership and volunteer work activities.

-Commonapp essay: I talk about my music passion and activities (topic of my choice)

-University(ies) supplement: How I developed my leadership, the activities I'm involved in-related with leadership- and how I relate my volunteer work with my leadership (topic of my choice again).

IS IT GOOD? (Since I'm an international student applying to top universities I don't know if I'm doing it well) ANY ADVICE WILL BE HELPFUL PLEASE!! I can't find anyone here in my country to help me with that!!

SHORT ANSWER:

I will write about the forums where I participate ("New leaders", "what really matters: for a youth with values" and other organizations), how I lead the volunteer work and students government. How can I write about it?? PLEASE I NEED YOUR RESPONSES, YOU ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN HELP ME WITH MY APPLICATION. HERE NO ONE CAN HELP ME!!

Hie Roman, You seem to be panicking-take it easy.I am not sure which country you are from,but most countries have what is called an educationUSA educational advising centre.When you join(for a small fee)they have counselors to help you with everything in addition to acces to free resources like SAT prep books,a library,internet,workshops etc.Just go online and check if there is an educationUSA advising centre near you. With regard to your question about essays,you seem to have it figured out for the most part.Although for a colleges supplement essay,you must answer the prompt they give.You may devise your own topic for the main commonapp essay,but Not usually for a supplement essay because the prompts are set by the college and are looking to find out whether you are a good fit for that particular school.Hope this helps.

I think your topics are fine. Just make sure it's something you can easily write about because it's important to you.

As for the supplements that varies by university - some college give you a specific prompt to follow while others are more open-ended. If you need any help let me know!

You can write about leadership but since it is a common topic, make sure you make your essay unique and stand out to admission officers.
