(2007) Asking the right questions: A guide to critical thinking.New Jersey, Pearson.Nosich, G. (2005) Learning to think things through: A guide to critical thinking across the curriculum. New Jersey: Pearson.
EF_Sean 6 / 3,491 Jan 22, 2009 #3Wikipedia is a good place to start. It will give you a fair amount of information about critical thinking that you can use as a foundation for your essay. Then, you only really have to think critically about that information to come up with some good ideas of your own.

EF_Sean 6 / 3,491 Jan 23, 2009 #5Those are all key components of critical thinking. You might want to add to the list the ability to recognize, evaluate, and challenge premises, as well as the ability to question and analyze statistical claims, both of which help greatly in determining the validity and truth of an argument.
