"to discover the personality of a college" - Vassar Supplement

I try to discover the personality of a college in order to understand it as a whole. So when I was handed an information booklet of Vassar, not only was I impressed by the booklet's information of outstanding people and events happening in the college, I was fascinated by how it is presented; the artistic and intimate layout of information captures the essense of the college through the perspective of exceptional individuals perfectly, giving an all-rounded insight of Vassar: bold, brimming with diversity, and challenging boundaries in every aspect. This, is what makes Vassar appealing to me.

(494 characters)

I am successful in fitting in everything I would like to say, but again I feel like I'm missing the punch :(
Do help me out; all comments welcomed. :)

hmm.. i have never heard about Vassar. But the prompt is simple and what you wrote is perfect!! I really like it. The only think that stopped me while reading it was "with diversity" you might want to change that. Besides that, its great! everything ties in perfectly.

Good luck(:

Hi Constance,

No, you can write as much as you want in the document. So I am thinking you might
want to elaborate on this. :)

Hi, Nausica again!
Umm, you wrote that you discovered about vassar from a booklet, this sounds like a little insignificant factor in college choice. Plus, other than give a little glimpse of your wishes and how they relate to Vassar. I think it'd make it perfect then. Any one can praise the college in the given space and mostly applicants will do. Be a little distinctive.

Good Luck :)

Having just finished this essay I can testify to the fact that its hard to fit what you want to say in 500 characters. This isn't a perfect essay, but considering the tiny amount of space provided its far more than adequate. Assuming you have a strong common application essay I think that you'll be fine and shouldn't worry about submitting this.

Best of luck.
