i want to go here because it will give me a chance to grow more and it also has a very good dance program.

Seven years of intense work have given me great knowledge in how to be a good student. I came to my high school, La Jolla Country Day School, from Tanzania in the sixth grade. Coming to La Jolla Country Day School was a very difficult adjustment for me because I had never been in such a competitive academic environment. For several years I was not serious about school and did not work as hard as I should have. I was introduced to many helpful study habits but I did not use them until sophomore year. It was then that there was a sudden transformation in my life and I started to realize how important school was to my future. I finally began to develop my study habits, and I became more successful in school. I met with my teachers and began having healthy relationships with all of them. The conferences I had with my teachers allowed me to understand previously unclear material, ask questions, and overall helped bring me closer to them.

I also learned note taking-I learned how to make thorough outlines and how to pick out the important details from the text.
The most valuable thing I learned, however, was how to manage my time.
Between school and my classical Indian dance, I lead a hectic lifestyle. I learned to balance homework and dance so that I could do both well. Because I now have these skills, I am confident that I will do well at Evergreen College.

I have also become more skilled socially. When I was younger, I did not have an open mind. That is no longer the case. As I matured, I became more curious-different cultures began to interest me. In my sophomore year, I went to Ecuador to participate in a group community service project. The trip opened my eyes-I previously couldn't fathom how difficult life was for some people. We did what we could to help them by painting their houses, helping in their gardens, and clearing things for construction. My trip to Ecuador roused a compassion out of me that might otherwise have taken longer to surface. This will not be the only community service experience for me; I intend to continue to look for ways to give back while I am in college.

I believe that Evergreen College is the right school for me. Evergreen's diverse curriculum is similar to my culturally diverse background. I was born and raised in Tanzania, and I am part of a very small Indian community called kutchi. I am both an Indian and an American girl. I believe Evergreen will encourage me to stay culturally diverse because your programs offer unique classes that I have not seen before. I am looking forward to your classical dance program as well as your anthropology program, as they appear to be interrelated. Evergreen is exactly what I am looking for, and I am confident that I will be a great addition to it.

You have the rudiments of a good essay here, but you will need to organize them into a coherent essay with a clear theme that is stated in the introduction and restated in the conclusion.

I believe Evergreen will encourage me to stay culturally diverse because your programs offer unique classes that I have not seen before.

This doesn't quite work. Generally, we use "diversity" to mean diversity within a community. Individuals are not diverse -- that would actually be a contradiction in terms. So, what you are trying to stay here is that you believe that Evergreen would encourage you to expand the diversity of cultures to which you expose yourself or, perhaps, continue to value and contribute to diversity.
