Hi guys, I really need to know if this is good enough/ a good topic. Thanks!
PROMPT: Choose an issue of importance to you-the issue could be personal, school related, local, political, or international in scope-and write an essay in which you explain the significance of that issue to yourself, your family, your community, or your generation.

She didn't see death in front of her. She didn't see it because she was the prey. She blinked and that was the only power she had. Catherine Kim was rushed into an Emergency Room, but died instantly while entering the surgery room. On July 17th, 2008, Catherine became a victim of a drunk driving accident.

Many PSA's and advertisements have been issued to show how dangerous drunk driving is. It informs people that not only do the drunk drivers get affected, but also the people they come in contact with. These PSA's and advertisements are shown in school assemblies, business conferences, and are on billboards of every city. It may be thought that the country is doing well with handling the drunk driving issue because they are posting warnings. That is not the case and certainly not effective.

Do people really pay attention to commercials and advertisements? Does everyone have the heart to take time out of their hands and think about the situation? Personally, I didn't until I had a loved one experience it. I always thought that this problem would never happen to me. The probability is one out of a hundred, but even that one is too much to comprehend. The few people who care need to find a new strategy to open other's eyes. Making PSA's and advertisements is a "been there, done that" method. It's time to step up and make a fresh approach.

Performing live sets can really attract people. If a stunt crew can fake a drunk driving accident and show the consequences, then people would realize how this problem shouldn't be ignored. This new vibe can trigger one's heart to step in and help. Using this trick will gradually enhance the number of people who care as well as reducing the number of drunk drivers. Drunk drivers would finally understand what it's like on the other side.

Not only does performing live sets help attract people, but alcohol distributers can contribute too. By the restriction of giving out alcohol for each person can save trouble. People on the road won't have to worry as much about drunk drivers and the accidents would decline. Bars and restaurants need to take control for the safety of others. Limits should be intact and not broken.

Catherine lost her innocent life while her drunk driver has his in the cell. I want consequences for the crime to be more undesirable. I want it to where drunk drivers have no choice but to stay sane. Drunk drivers are careless people who have no control. They realize their mistake wants tragedy hits. They put themselves in danger, along with innocent people. But what's different about this crime is that the mark is permanent. The driver has regret for his heedless actions and the family of the person he hit has a mournful touch in their life.

Catherine's family made a memorial in their backyard for the remembrance of Catherine. They say a prayer to her ever Sunday and talk about what they have done for the past week. I visit the memorial once in a while and grief that she died because of a careless person. If that one person didn't drink too much and got on the road, Catherine would still be here. My best friend would still be here making memories with me and making her family happy. Drunk and Drive accidents happen every day in every part of the world. Families and friends get struck with a hole in their heart all the time because their loved one is hurt. Both parties live with regret and depression. For drunk driving to stop, people need to be aware and have sense in their minds. Thousands of lives can be saved if this one problem is resolved. We need to reign down on drunk driving and put it to halt.
