"Everybody is a genius"; Why Fashion Institute of Technology (Merchandising)?

What i need help with: I need more to write about. Tell me if a have any errors. Pretty much anykind of critisim will help. Also when you read this ask yourself if you would accept me into your fashion college after reading my essay. Please and thank you.

Growing up I've always had this idea that I would never be able to succeed like others because of my lack of interest in becoming a doctor or lawyer. I felt like everyone wanted me to be something I'm not. It's about time I start doing something that will benefit my inner creativity.

Fashion has always been something I'm good at. No matter the season or trend I'll throw outfits together that express my fashion core within. Fashion is so important to me. Putting clothes, shoes, accessories and make up together can change a person's attitude completely. What I wear is my daily shot of confidence boost. Fashion is what I sleep, eat and breathe.

One of my first experiences that really got my creative juices flowing was thrift shopping. I would go there probably twice a weeks shuffling through rows and rows of vintage clothes upon vintage clothes. Between all the crazy over sized cardigans, high wasted jeans and retro tees; I've began to love every ounce of it. I would come home with multiple bags of clothes from the thrift store that I would use to reinvent the idea of the outfit I was trying to create. I would turn an old washed out pair of high wasted pants into chic studded cutoffs. People would always ask me where I got them from, but little did they know there were from the thrift store. The reason why I have so much love for fashion is because real fashion doesn't have a price limit/expectation; fashion is fashion no matter how much the cost of it is. Point blank.

My dream is to one day own several clothing stores that sale the latest fashions and trends all at an affordable price or become a buyer for a retail stores such as Macy's or Dillard's. I want to go to the Fashion Institute of technology because I know that the education there will make a huge impact on me in a positive way. FIT demonstrates real world experiences and will have endless opportunities that allows me to get involved in the fashion community. The campus its self is located at one of the more fashionable areas in New York and the fact that I'll be surrounded by students wanting similar careers will keep me motivated. My goal at FIT would be to earn my associates degree and bachelor's degree in fashion and merchandising.

I am a very motivate and passionate individual who is ready to make her dreams come true no matter what it takes. It would be an absolute honor to get the opportunity to watch myself grow as a person and a fashion merchandiser. I'm really looking forward to a future at the Fashion Institute of technology.

Why this doctor and lawyer in particular? Did your family want you to be one of them? You better tell the reader why you specifically had those two professions mentioned.

Thanks for all the good Feedback. And for the part about being a doctar or lawyer I'm not sure how to get into more detail without it sounding weird. HELP ! I have no clue how to start it off.
