Ever since I could remember I've always had an interest on how the computer worked and how to fix them. I remember as a child my grandma always had old computers that barely worked in her basement that I decided to take apart one day. Question after question came to my mind as I open the side panel and on the inside I see the Mother board, RAM, Hard drive, CD-ROM, and all the wires. As I start unplugging wire by wire, I making a mental picture to remember where there were before. Not only did I remember how to put everything back together the way it was, I made the computer work better.
Technology has expanded our world over the year's every day. One device that really interests me is a commonly used device in the household of almost every American family - the Computer. A computer is an electronic device which can take inputs from users and process data. It also, stores data or information on storage devices and gives output on output devices. The computer can affect the lives of many people negativity and positively.
Many use computers for basic entertainment; such as looking up music, watching videos, playing games or even chatting with friends. Others, however, use the computer to search for information on a search engine. There are also many other activities much of the world uses the computer for today such as; word processing software, E-mail and data processing to a certain spreadsheets. Everything you do and need for everyday life is based on the computer some how
But there's always the fear of Technology and computers. Computer crime is becoming a huge problem in our world today. One of the most common computer crimes today is hacking; a hacker is someone who breaks into computers. Many of these crimes can affect your job, our money, and our lives. Many people are being affected by fraud over the internet. There's always the chance your credit card number stolen, and even medical records. People are stealing money, software, benefits and much more every day. But hacking doesn't always mean breaking in your computer to steal information; it could mean you're a good programmer. A programmer is someone who writes codes for many types of software.
Besides all the negative and positive effects technology has on the world, there's one thing that always interests me the most about computers. The inside, "How" does the computer work and programming software so computers process the right way. Computers have no only affected me but the world around us. In today world there's no escaping technology, it's all around us. There's always going to be the use of computers wherever you go; work, schools, grocery stores, libraries and all other business. I would like to further my education in computers and programming so there's not so much fear of hackers and a much secure outcome of technology.
After reading your essay, I thought the Topic is kind of Influence of computers but not your interest. Remember the requirement here is your love to computer. Therefore you should show your passion to technology instead of talking about uses of it. You may question yourself : What are your experiences with computer? What do you use it for? How it help you improve your daily life and your future ? ... Answer those by your own significant story, not relating to others. I mean you should avoid such common impacts of computer all over the world. Yet focus on how computer change yourself ?
