Seeing people studying abroad, I inquired how they got there. Eventually, I explored it up on the internet and found information about the Global Korea Scholarship. Like sighted a treasure, I immediately looked further at this scholarship, including matters reassuring me about picking this out. Some of its facts are that this scholarship could cover up all tuition fees, monthly allowance, airfare, and many others a chance to get an education in a country whose educational method in Asia is undisputed. South Korea is a country that now holds nicknamed the "Tiger of Asia" due to its economy, technological sophistication, and highly guaranteed human resources.
We might see the development and quality of the media in Korea. To improve the quality of Indonesian media, I would like to continue my education with significant media and communication in well-known universities in Korea. Korean media and media quality has developed for a long time. We are undoubtedly familiar with the Korean wave. It has succeeded in bringing Korea to the international scene. Korean media is prevalent nowadays. The quality of the variety shows is impressive and very diverse makes people want to learn a lot about media in Korea. I am interested in getting to apprehend people by communicating and knowing culture through communication and media.
Being born and bred in a middle-class family, I had to think more about studying as I do not have the heart to see my father working hard at his age. Sometimes I have to bury my dream of going to my choice school because the fees are expensive. Meanwhile, I have three siblings who still need cost. Still, I am blessed to have parents who support their children to get a proper education. My father never lost his spirit to work harder to earn some money for their children to get a good school. His dreams concern his children to get proper education, not as he who only finished high school. Therefore, I am furthering my education and trying hard to get good grades.
High school was one of those big life-changing moments, both mentally and physically. I was getting away from family and living alone in a boarding house. I learned things that I had never thought of before, did everything by myself, was responsible for the environment, and dealt with money management. Being in a new environment makes me shocked by the local culture. I was socially awkward; in case I met new people, it is not easy to communicate. Furthermore, I am constantly trying to shed these traits and to be a social person. I am increasingly understanding and amazed by the diversity. Besides, I want to seek more heterogeneity.
Came in a student an "excellent" class, it was challenging to compete with other students with above-average intelligence. After the compulsory classes, I must attend additional 1.2-2 hours classes and pass each test with a score over 80. I ought to go to school at 7 am and return at 5 pm. Afterward, I still have housework (cooking, washing), afternoon studies, and tasks, all of those things are solved with time management to get used to doing my work efficiently and on time.
I was unable to aid in many organizations and extracurricular because of the heavy study demands. Nonetheless, I took every opportunity in compulsory school activities and did my best. Scouts taught me the importance of working, coordination, and communication with others. Took part in science competitions, met new people, and brainstorm with great people. Instead of winning or losing throughout the race, the expertise experience gained is much valuable. From the activities that I did, such as organization, participation in extracurricular activities, and competitions, I have even become a person who likes to discuss, gets used to different opinions, can work in a team, and leads. Stuff like facing new personalities sparked my curiosity about communication. I thought of whether or not communication is essential to find out, do not we tend to communicate every day, then why there is a communication major. I slightly deviated from my major at school, that actual science.
