It's a humanitarian duty. I picked my luggage and head to southern Tunisian-Libyan borders to work as a volunteer with Tunisian Red Crescent. I cooperated with vacationers, doctors and fugitives to confront death and poverty. While civil war torn Libya apart, I was taking care of refugees from different backgrounds and ethnicities. Being fluent in French, English and Arabic, I built strong relationships with Africans as well as other Arabs. When attacks intensify, villagers there reacted with fear and dismay to the news of death so I was ready to cope with pressure and call for optimism. Using details observations made during this insightful yet frightening experience, I was able to complement data collected from refugee's stories and wrote a short biography of my experience. Leaving camp in fall 2012, I gained deft social skills that helped me to engage further in community service. Now, I use my accounts to defend vociferously immigrants and refugees cause in my school and in national events and I'll be happy if I have the opportunity to use my field knowledge to speak up for them internationally.
