Need feedback for my letter of intent for turkiye burslari scholarships for medicine. Please recommend any changes i need to make! thank you in advance :)

LETTER OF INTENT- Türkiye Burslari Scholarship (Medicine)

Respected Scholarship Committee,
My name is AB , and I am writing this to express my strong and sincere intention to apply for the "Türkiye Scholarships 2026" in order to pursue an undergraduate degree in Medicine. My aspirations to become a doctor has been shaped over many years of personal reflection. I grew up in an immigrant household, So naturally my parents are my unrivalled inspiration. My Father has been working in Saudi Arabia for over 30 years to support our family and my mother a housemaker, works just as hard every single day. Listening to their stories have thought me the importance of patience, good intentions and hard work. Watching them sacrifice so much for my siblings and I, has always motivated me to accomplish something wonderful for them. I know I can never truly repay them for everything they've done, but I hope to make them proud through my success.

My interest in medicine began with an exceptional biology teacher in 11th grade who profoundly influenced my academic journey. Through her interactive and engaging classes I developed a genuine fascination for the human body, it's mechanisms, and biology in general. Under her guidance I built an amazing basic foundation in biology which lead me to consistently place first in her class, an achievement that reflected not only my academic ability but also my growing dedication towards the subject. I have completed my secondary education with a strong focus in physics, chemistry and biology gaining a clear understanding of fundamental scientific concepts and improving my thinking skills.

Studying in Türkiye is my top and only choice. Its reputable medical universities, advanced healthcare system and the international recognition of its degrees makes it an ideal study destination for my higher education, also Türkiye's unique cultural diversity resonates with my desire to study in a global environment. Which prepares me to practice in multiple medical settings and enhances my resume further.

Looking toward the future, my long term goal is to become a competent, empathetic and ethical physician. I deeply aspire to do a lot of volunteer work in the underprivileged regions of the world, where I can use my clinical skills to improve lives, alleviate suffering, and serve the society in meaningful ways. As the most important aspect of medicine to me is the nobility of this profession. If granted the Scholarship, I am committed to approaching my medical studies with discipline and hard work. My biggest goal is to aim for achieving honour rolls throughout the years with excellent personal conduct and dedicated studying. Without the Türkiye Scholarships obtaining high quality higher education would be unattainable.

In conclusion, Thank you for considering my application. I would be beyond happy to pursue my medical education in such a vibrant and beautiful country like Türkiye! If given the opportunity to study under the esteemed "Türkiye Burslari Scholarship" I plan to fulfil its values through devoted and persistent efforts toward academic excellence.

Since you are applying for acceptance into a college of medicine, the reviewer will expect you to have almost exceptional grammar skills. That is because you will be constantly writing research and opinion papers that need to be clear and concise to the reader. So this letter of intent should reflect that skill. I need you to double check your subject-verb agreement references in the paragraphs because you have errors in that department.

The essay also has a tendency to just tell the reviewer information, without actually providing evidence of such. You need to less "tell" and more of "show in this case. Balance what you are saying with supporting information for relevant activities and topics that will help to prove the development of your interest in medicine.

Finally, I would not refer to the university program as being your only choice in this case. Most reviewers tend to reject students that make such claims because they tend to have problems adjusting to the student community and classes, forcing them to drop from the program and losing the scholarship. Wasted resources that the reviewers wish to avoid. It would be better if you tone down your passion in this case.
