'learning was never something I aspired for but Physics' - FSU

When I was a freshman in high school, learning for me was never something I aspired for. I was just waking up every morning with no incentive. I carelessly tried to get A's, but never did because I viewed school as a place I was forced to go to for about seven hours a day. My daily plan was to finish, or try to keep focused long enough to complete assigned homework, study briefly and hang out with my friends. That all changed when I stumbled upon a physics book in my school library. The book was on Albert Einstein and his General Theory of Relativity. This was the turning point of my life. Consequently, the only thing I wanted to do from that moment was read more books on the fabric of time, gravity, supernovas, antimatter and particle physics. It was soon to take over my life. Realizing my new found passion for learning, I had begun exceling in my academic studies. I went from being an average student to an excellent student. I started realizing that school was such a rewarding experience, and I even started staying after school with my teacher to discuss current science research. Also, my classes were becoming more rigorous, as well as interesting, and I was even soon to be taking independent AP classes, such as AP Physics C during my senior year. Currently with AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, AP Physics B, and AP Physics C, I am engrossed with such avidity in these classes that I even count the minutes until the bell rings. Some of my friends even tease me for my obsession, but I feel sorry for them because their passion and dedication for their interests are unparalleled to the passion and dedication I possess for physics and mathematics. If you were to ask a student in high school what they would like to study and ask them a question relevant to that subject, they would most likely not answer it. If I will ever be asked anything on Theoretical Physics, I would sufficiently answer it. This is because my interest in Physics is the driving force for my quest of knowledge. A quest fueled by books on String Theory, Videos on Black Holes, Articles on the Higgs Boson, as well as taking on challenging physics and math questions for leisure. Learning through such activities and a plethora of more, I learn about the mysteries that enthralls me. Through all the research, reading, watching, and practice, is rendered knowledge. Knowledge is a gift given through dedication, hard work, and persistent effort; incalculable of monetary value but enriched with success. It is knowledge that makes learning the cardinal value for me.

learning for me was never something I aspired for >>> I never had many aspirations to learn. (or something. it's just a tad wordy)

This was the turning point of my life. (and) It was soon to take over my life. (are very similar sentences)
Mention that AP means advanced placement, perhaps? And the letters at the end of your classes may not make sense to some people.
Videos on Black Holes, Articles on the Higgs Boson >>>> uncapitalize Videos, Black Holes, and Articles

I hope this helped. I really like your essay. Maybe talk about where you would like to take this knowledge. (what school/profession)
