Music - MIT - what do you do for pleasure essay

Q - We know you lead a busy life, full of activities, many of which are required of you. Tell us something you do for the pleasure of it.

Unwinding, for me, means plugging my iPod in my ears and listening to that Linkin Park, Lifehouse or old Bollywood song I love. Indeed, music is what I turn to when I have to de-stress after a tiring day at school, or even simply when I have nothing better to do. Studying Hindustani Classical music for the past seven years has only augmented my ardour for music. The extent of my 'addiction' is evident in the fact that I even listen to music while solving Math sums; blaring loud, to be precise, much to my parents' displeasure. It never fails to uplift and motivate me.

Instead of de-stress maybe unwind? or relax?

I felt the sentences were a little bogged down with extra words. ie "to be precise" tripped me up a little.
