NYU SUPP- WHY NYU? It's the most convenient location/ friendly faces

I'm applying to NYU and just need someone to edit one of my supplements. Basically, I just want someone to tear it apaprt and tell me what's good and bad. The question is: Tell us why you have chosen the above campus (using a maximum of 700 characters-spaces and punctuation included).

I chose the NYU New York Campus, and here is my essay:

From the moment I stepped onto the NYU New York Campus, I realized that New York is a city that will never fail to make me feel as if I belong. The vibrant NYU New York campus is filled with friendly faces from all over the world which will help me build friendships that will last a lifetime and allow me to understand life through different cultures. By staying in New York, I would be able to experience cultural diversity, while being only a couple hours away from my home and family. I would love to experience the rush and energy of living in a city. The NYU New York campus is the most convenient location for me, and I would take all opportunities to have the ideal undergraduate experience.
