Response to question "to what other colleges..."?

Hello,

I am in the application process, and I'm really confused about how and what to respond to the question: "To what other colleges are you applying?". Would you please help me elaborating this issue? I mean, how many other colleges should I cite? schools that are similar (quality, environment...) or different to the one I am applying? Should I explain anything else?

You can show them that you are a thoughtful, motivated student by letting them know that you are applying to a few different places instead of just one. You can rank them in order of importance to you, with the school to which you are applying at the top. Most importantly, use this as an opportunity to show them that you write well and think clearly.
