My Sandpaper Palms / COMMON APP - ELABORATE ON one activity

For two years neither lotions nor oils fix my dilemma--my hands are always hard. Soaps and chemicals have turned the texture of my palms to sandpaper.Why? I am a dishwasher at my school.

As students hurriedly leave the cafeteria, the stacks of dishes rises and so too does my pleasure. I put on my apron and start scrubbing, but for me its not just a job : it's a way to thank my mother and my school. After class and on weekends when i enter the kitchen i gain a new perspective through the eye of a staff member.

To me it doesn't matter if my hand are hard, it shows my hard work and commitment to my job.

Interesting activity, and well-written. You have a lot of characters left, so try and elaborate on what this job has taught you that is important to you, that you will take with you to college and beyond.

Wow it is truly not a common activity or one that I've ever heard of, it's interesting.
I think you could write a little bit more like why is it important to you and what have you learned of this activity (something more personal)

I'm not very good at writing essays but in my point of view, you could explain more, i'll find it interesting
