My name is Sharon Ochoa, and my mother is my inspiration. When I was a child I remember living in a shed. I remember building it with my family. I remember seeing most of my family under the influence of drug abuse, and most of all I remember my mother. I remember how she was the one to change all that, and turn our lives around. She went back to school, and got her GED. She had always talked about how she wanted to be a truck driver, and see the United States in her own eyes. One day she decided to pursue her dreams. She attended Action Career Training in Pharr, TX, and got her truck driving license with a special graduation certificate. I was so proud of her. We moved into a real house, and all the problems from the past were gone. She was a Truck driver for about two years, and she was bringing in a great steady pay check. My father had decided it would be best for him to be a stay at home dad, and watch over us. Although my mother was rarely home she made a sacrifice to give us every opportunity she didn't have, and because of that I'm so very thankful. My mother ended up passing away when I was nine on mother's day.

Although I was just a child it didn't take me long to learn I wanted to be someone in life. I wanted to make my mother proud, and follow my dreams just like her. I believe she watches over me every single day, so I try to make the best choices in life. I know my mother went through hardships to even give me half of the amazing opportunities I have now, and I want to take advantage of them for her, but most of all for me. I'm going to the first of my family to officially graduate from high school, and attend college. My dream is to attend Texas A&M College Station. There is nothing I want more than to call myself an aggie. I plan to major in Telecommunication Media Studies, and minor in Theater Art. I have worked hard since I was in elementary to get good grades, and join as many extracurricular activities as I could. Now it's my senior year, I'm in my top 30% of my class I know that isn't top ten ,but I'm ok with that. Why? You ask. Well because if my mother was here I know she'd be so proud of me. I can only hope that all my hard work will pay off, but I know it's not over yet. I have a long way to go in life, and I know my mother will be with me through the whole ride; because she is my inspiration, my hero, and my guardian angel.

Hi share8a

Always make a habit to include your prompt in your post so that you would get better feed backs that are more aligned with your prompt!

I remember seeing most of my family under the influence of drug abuse, and most of all I remember my mother.

This sentence gives a wrong message; It almost sounds like your mother was under the influence of drugs... When you read the next one only , it gets cleared. So you need to re-phrase it.

I remember how she was the one to change all that, and turn our lives around into a different direction, a positive direction indeed.

My name is Sharon Ochoa --------- They know your name , this part does not add much value to your answer
and my mother is my inspiration ----------- Let's say this more creatively ;

I remember my childhood days living in a shed. I still hold a vivid memory of how my family built it with our own hands and sweat. I still remember our struggles; some of my family members were under the influence of drugs. However, against all these odds, there stood my mom as a pillar to support everybody's hopes.
