With few friends of mine, I proposed to the principal of nearby Hosack Elementary the idea of tutoring children this year, and acquired the role of helping with their writings, such as book reports and essays. As I looked at foreigners with atypical features in Korea, the children looked at me-a stranger-with puzzled eyes. However, we could become close after I matched my eye levels with them and talked with each other. Apart from my friends who could recall their forgotten memories of the small, innocent world, I could make another childhood memory. During the two hours, I was able to look at everything through the eyes of the children. While the multifarious children-smart Julia, loose Chris, and curious Matt-expressed themselves, students in my high school only knew how to imitate others and to hide their weaknesses rather than fortifying them.

What you can do to really show the importance of the activity is provide what inspired you to tutor the kids.
