I want to write an essay for the art institute in Chicago and I really need help

I've just started to get down to filling out application forms and I kind of got stuck on the essay for the art institute. I really like this school and I would really like to get in. I have a dream of becoming a successful animation artist working in a place like Pixar or a game company like midway or Bandai and really enjoying my job. I'm really good at drawing and copying anything my eyes see unto paper and I think that this is my calling, I just don't know how to start the essay.

I think you should start with your aspirations to become an artist and then move on to a complex analysis of Midway's existing games and graphics. For your conclusion I suggest a brief overview regarding the merits of Bioshock.

By the way, I don't think we can help you with writers block. Write down some ideas and examples you want to expand on. Stuff like that. Why do you want to become an artist? What has brought you to this realization? What challenges have you met along the way? How has art changed your perspective or your actions?

From what little you've given us, all I can suggest is starting with a description of you at your dream job, then backing up to describe how the Art Institute prepared your for that job, and then backing up even further to describe your youthful experiences with and interest in art.

Why not do some brainstorming and then show us the essay prompt along with your ideas?

Yep. You should always supply the exact prompt when asking for help on these sorts of essays. As to where to start, start at the beginning. Write out a thesis statement that summarizes your answer to whatever the question was, then expand on it as logically and as clearly as you can. Probably you will want to back up your points with relevant anecdotes from your past experiences.
