TOPIC : IS CREATIVITY NEEDED MORE THAN EVER IN THE WORLD TODAY? Agree or Disagree.
Hi everyone, this is my first SAT essay. I'm really nervous and I need some constructive criticism. Also grading and techniques would help. Just to know if I'm on the right track. This essay does not use the typical SAT examples and I need to know if it should. Some examples would be nice . It was done in 25 minutes as well. Thank you. (This is not an opinionated essay, I just went with the most expedient examples. So no one should be offended. :) )
Although creativity seems ostensibly necessary and intriguing; it can be dangerous when exercised excessively. "Too much of anything is not good." This quote is a trite saying. Yet is believed to be very true.Examples that substantiate this theory is sites like Chat Roulette and AskFm. Also the art of Anime. Creativity is not only exerted in great pieces of art, music and other conventional ways. Contemporary ideas have become more distinct as the years past.
This is shown through a site made called Chat Roulette. This site is made by none other than teenagers. With the idea of letting people meet strangers. It was made by a Russian child, and is indeed very seminal. However what was told to many children, is that they should not talk to strangers. This Chat Roulette site encourages not just banter but also visual view of unknown persons. This is not only dangerous, but also an counter of what most parents implement in their children. There has been kidnapping and other causes, like suicide done because of these sites.
An example of a site that has made a young girl in Nigeria commit suicide is, AskFn. This innovative idea to ask people questions, has turned into a place to bully as well. From the constant "hate" comments and threats. Many children have committed suicide . This is not just unnecessary but depressing as well.
Creativity is not just shown in sites but also, drawings. Yes drawings are creative and a work of art. But can they be offensive? Well a recently developed type of drawing is Anime. This is an animated type of drawing that a majority of young men are interested in. Not only for its aesthetic nature. But also for offensive drawings, that are akin to pornography. Many parents and people in general have been complaining about this new phenomenon.
So the question we ask ourselves, is that is creativity inspirational or influential ? Creativity in my own view can be toned down. We fought to have it, but now there is an exorbitant amount. It should be done in a way that is not disturbingly influential on children of today. Which means more privacy and less explicitly offensive art. If that can be decreased, than creativity would be balanced. But like shown in the examples stated earlier creativity has now become demeaning due to the excessive use of it.

In this essay you bring only present world. I think you should also frame what our ancestors did. Like all 8 wonders of world. so, it is inherited from our ancestors.

I forget to add more that is number of Tv channels do organise lot of dancing/singing/real adventure competitions in the name of creativity. Lot of children get engage into these serials for months & lose their interest in building their careers.
I'm not so sure about the 8 wonders, b/c I was trying to focus on today (topic) and children. But the last topic you said is original. And lmao you're taking it too?? Well there's this site called xtreme papers.com, where you can download a lot of things for SAT. College board also offers free questions.
